Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror
I love this series! the music and cinematography is all really nice ... I think the first story regarding the husband and wife is the most compelling, followed by bakeneko. It was odd that the DVD reverse the order of the first two stories but i supposed they too throught the second was the weakest one, though still good, mind you. I wouldnt call it samurai horror story though ... i was expecting wars, revenge between tribes .. but what i got was mainly romance stories or at least relationship between man and woman. Overall! awesome!

Opening thought: the story goes very slow as well as the character -___-
The guy reminds me a lot of Otani from Lovely Complex though! But he was better looking (ok, its an anime ..blah!). Its just one episode but it feels like two and i was already exhausted at the halfway pt. Not really into romance right now ... Closing Thought: im going to read the manga. The characters annoy me a lot though and it seems like they wasted two years on a trivial relationship (yea yea, i know its just an anime ..) Also .. its very slow pace. |

I think the story takes place in limbo, it could be that everyone in the city has already passed on (although some of them having been born there is quite curious...) and those that died naturally becomes 'human' whereas those that died with a heavy heart becomes these haibanes ... my interpretations anyways .. quite interesting |

The show makes you think .. is it really right to remove someone from being just cause they did something wrong towards you? how severe must it be? It's a real dilemma that would challenge the minds of most philosophers (except moralist, which is wrong to kill regardless, probably). I like this show though, every episode has a different story so i dont feel like i constantly have to keep up. Hajime-san's involvements are a bit annoying at times but as expected, it plays out near the end of the story and it makes everything so much more interesting.

I love it! The show is really good and even though Miyu is the guardian and have power she doesn't get mixed up in protecting everyone and let people get punished for their vanities etc ... Miyu does seem selfish though but then she only lives for her destiny and nothing else ...
I'm not sure if its because the animation technique hasnt improved or they wanted to keep with the styles of the 1988 OVA but both are very similar in terms of the way its drawn. It would be awesome of they have a new vampire princess miyu series out .. it has been 10+ years since the last ... |

It's ranked pretty high in a lot of anime list so I'm just going to check out what its about.
Closing Thought: the story was relatively slow and the build up to the climax was very long ... there were some plot holes and many things that they didnt bother explaining .. still, it was pretty ok ... though i did lose interest at times. |

i watched it because someone said its similar to Kanon, which i really liked. I dont see how they are that similar but i think its quite good. Its starts out rather boring but it picks up after a while and it make sense if you were to watch it again as there are many clues throughout the series. Furthermore, the metaphor here is the sky, whereby no two skies are similar. This i believe is suppose to represent Yorito, who although is the same physically, isnt the same mentally .. or was he? I wish they had more information about the historical aspect of the three ... did the sister have a brother complex? did Yorito fell in love with Matsuri? Did she not love him back and therefore not try as hard to find him when he was washed away? If matsuri was so guilty, why did she make another yaka? or was the child made by someone else?

Zero no Tsukaima
Pretty interesting concept, like taking Harry Potter and turning it around. The ending seems a bit rush to be though cause they were trying to fit everything into the last episodes although the ring was never returned and i dont quite know why but perhaps the sequal will give explainations for it. It was all pretty good up until the last 3 episodes. (p.s. In effect though, magic was no use compared with a ww2 japanese warcraft ... hm .... )
