A website created by JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) was made to provide more information on a new satellite that will be launched into space later this year. The first post on the site is an anime short film created by studio White Fox. The purpose of the film is to raise awareness and explain the mission of the GPM/DPR satellite.

The satellite is a joint project between JAXA and America's NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and is planned to be launched from the Space Center at Tanegashima using a Japanese HII-A rocket. "GPM/DPR" stands for "Global Precipitation Measurement/Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar." The device will scan the entire Earth every 3 hours generating global precipitation maps.
