½ Prince
Hilarious, hilarious beginning. Oh my god, I have NEVER laughed so hard in my LIFE as when the main character first logged into the game. Oh, so SO funny! Crack a rib, rofl, laugh your you-know-what off--any phrase you want to use, this manga is it! (Well... at least if you like crack/random, viciously, violent humor)

Now, it's not quite as funny as time goes on. But the manga is still really good :) And you gotta love the gender-bender!

OH MAN, the recent chapters! Prince travels to a new area and INTERESTING things happen! I'm really excited about what's going on now!

--I think OneManga has stopped updating the series. O_O Anyone know where else I can find it? Since it's actually a manhua, and not a manga...

Bleach
I like Bleach, it's had me laughing plenty of times and I think the characters are great (Nel Tu & Yourichi are my favorites). But the manga is just NOT that well-written. Ichigo gets kind of overpowered, Orihime gets super annoying after a while, Ishida gets ignored at a crucial time, Chad gets practically FORGOTTEN... like, why is he even THERE for the Arrancar arc? Anyway, it's a very popular manga so you might read it just for that. It has a lot of redeeming points, at least, which is why I still read it. :)

I LOVE THIS MANGA!!!! It's very entertaining and well-written. If you like childish, straightforward, go-getting, and super DETERMINED/stubborn characters (like, say, Luffy from One Piece), you will LOVE Gon. Gon's character amazes me. This manga also has an assassin's son (somewhat cliche, but the character is not what you expect), a revenge seeker (who isn't completely lost to the dark side and DEFINITELY NOT EMO--yippee!) who's also intriguing due to his intelligence, and a very interesting plot and world! At first the characters seemed to resemble the ones from Yu Yu Hakusho a bit too much, but I eventually saw them as individuals (and loved them from the start, anyway).

The main characters are definitely geniuses when it comes to fighting, they are extremely good at what they do. But they CONSISTENTLY meet challenges and characters that are STRONGER and eventually force them to get stronger. I love out-classed main characters. :D

This is just SUCH a good manga and it doesn't get the attention it deserves. Read it, you will love it!

Naruto
Naruto... popular, popular Naruto. Another manga you should read just so that you're 'in the know.' It's pretty well-written, but not awesomely so. However, it's an interesting world to explore and I like a lot of the characters. (Gai, Lee, Shikamaru, Tsunade, Jiraiya, even Naruto himself...)

Aww, I liked the anime as a kid. I think the anime is a little better than the manga too. But that could be nostalgia talking. I watched & read both recently. This manga is pretty good for kids but not that entertaining for us older readers. It's good though.

Fullmetal Alchemist
I love this manga. I'm newly addicted to it. It's surprisingly well written and it deals with heavy issues that I find fascinating. Like stepping on God's toes and human ignorance and whether humans should and can resurrect people. The two main characters hold a lot of opinions about what's happened in their past and later learn COMPLETELY new things about what REALLY happened. Man, it's just SO good. Roy Mustang becomes a non-cliche revenge seeker. We meet a FUNNY, LIKEABLE serial killer (if you can believe that!) Characters with dark sides... and characters that CHANGE. This manga rocks my socks. Read it!

Hikaru no Go
I love the anime so much. I probably shot myself in the foot by watching it first. Normally I have a hardcore preference for manga but the Hikaru no Go anime just tops. The manga does not get Akira's intensity across nearly as well as the anime does. So I'm majorly disappointed about that. But I do think it does a good job of showing Hikaru and even Sai's personality.

It's not boring or anything. But anime always has to flesh things out and in the case of this series, it was so well done that the unfleshed out manga just happens to pale in comparison. That's my view...

---
Update SPOILERS:
Re-read it from ch150 and I think it was good. I heard their voices in my head because I binge-watched the anime first, so that was kind of fun. I think the writing is a little shaky though and it doesn't wrap things up well unfortunately.

I really liked the guy who got to be on Shindou and Akira's team for the tournament, and the guy Shindou played against--Yongha. I'm so disappointed that this story doesn't go on longer. We didn't get to see Shindou's match with Hon Suyon :( And I want more about those two guys I mentioned. And it ends before a battle with Akira and Shindou :( No one played the Divine Move and Touya Koyo doesn't know that Sai is dead and Shindou never told Akira what he said he would some day. That's all so disappointing. I'm going to have to diligently look for fanfiction now. Hopefully all these things are addressed. I don't think I can write these scenes myself, but I'm pretty tempted to try it after all.

Also the mangaka talks about how much she enjoys the gameboy games of it and I'm so jealous because I can't find them online anywhere in English at least! :(

Monster Soul
This is by the guy that wrote Fairy Tail and BOY, CAN I TELL. That art is so identical. Aki looks like Natsu, Mamii looks like Erza... Touran looks like Nami (which is One Piece and a different author but STILL...) He needs to be more creative with his character designs. :/

I thought this one was "fine." Not even close to "great." Just didn't have enough substance to it. It was kind of pointless.

Ouran Koukou Host Club
I love this manga, and the anime as well! It's hilarious. I thought it was yaoi at first but it's not. It's a cross-dressing story, which is part of why it's so entertaining! Haruhi is NOT your average female lead--she's extremely down to earth, honest, and oblivious to why gender matters, comfortable as a boy as much as a girl (partially due to her cross-dressing father). She's also the only person who can tell the twins apart, and doesn't understand why other people can't. It's a childish manga (though, I think, not really for kids...) but it's really hilarious and good.

I mentioned the twins... they are awesome. They're totally absorbed in theirselves until Haruhi comes along and shakes them up. They have a WICKED sense of humor--they love to mess with people, and are brutally honest, and don't always know how to deal with Haruhi. And eventually they start becoming seperate people more and more. :) They're awesome guys.

Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE
Wow. I wasn't into this in the beginning I wasn't expecting this to be well written. But, my god, the further I get into this, the more I start to think: this writing is masterful! There's so much purpose for everything that happens. I don't think I've read a story with this much foreshadowing and this many TWISTS in my entire life. This thing is CHOCK FULL of amazing twists. Even with the foreshadowing, I'm shocked every single time a new development comes around. And everytime I start to doubt something, soon enough I'm impressed again. I definitely have to reread this manga someday. I know I must be missing so much stuff.

EDIT: OMFG. Chapter 213. THAT IS A TWIST! THAT IS A TWIST!!!!!! Oh my god. That is nuts. That is AMAZING. WOW.

Edit 2: Holy, moly, wow. That was an insane ride! What an awesome manga. I hate to call anything a 'masterpiece' but come on... it takes a lot of work to write something like this, and a lot of creativity and I just really have to praise that!

Edit 3: I tried to watch the anime after this and it was so boring that I completely forgot that I had ever enjoyed the manga. But clearly I did. And ok, I definitely DO need to re-read...

Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho
My favorite manga (and anime)! I LOVE this series! Yuusuke is such a punk but he's not a bad guy and he's awesome, and you'll see that right from the beginning (they picked a good beginning for this manga to get you interested). This is another manga that EVENTUALLY deals with some heavy issues and leads to some VERY interesting and unexpected change which I totally give the mangaka props for. I think this manga is VERY, VERY good. Read it, you'll love it too! :) (And then check out Hunter x Hunter which is by the same mangaka)

Ah! Itoshi no Banchou-sama
This is a very cute manga! It's a little silly but it is comedy, after all! The main character isn't a particularly strong heroine but she's somewhat interesting because of the fact that she's a completely normal girl living in a strange world. And I have to say, the romance in this manga is totally adorable!

I rated this 'very good' just because... there's nothing wrong with it. It's not spectacular, but it's better than good, I think. I like stories about kids sometimes, and it's cool that these kids actually act THEIR AGE. And it's got a nice, childish little romance in it that I liked. :) And who doesn't love loveable rouges like Dark?

I still love this series but there's SO MUCH of it, it's hard to read it all--especially if you loose your place and have to re-read. I was completely OBSESSED in high school, and now I think that had a lot to do with some awesome fanfiction more than anything. But this is a really good manga and anime, and if you haven't you should totally watch it!

Parfait Tic!
Up until the recent chapters, I completely loved this manga. The art reminds me of the Barbie stories I read as a kid and the story is perfect for that side of me that's still a hopeless, innocent romantic. I think this manga is very good, but the main character is too flighty. It seems like she's going to stay with the guy she's with right now but I don't believe that she actually loves him more than the other one, so it makes me feel like she'll switch again. Anyway, she's a young girl and it's understandable. The kind of things happen in this manga that she's going to want to crawl under a rock when she thinks about as an adult (why couldn't I just admit how I felt that time?!, etc.) but that's kinda fun xP

This is an awesome manga if any part of you likes shoujo stuff :)

This manga is AWESOME. Definitely qualifies as a MASTERPIECE. It is SO well-written, I love it! All this CRAZY stuff happens, but always in a BELIEVABLE way, and that's hard to accomplish in the world of manga! It's rare for me to love the main characters of anything, but I really do for this one (along with all the rest of the characters). The arc with Vivi/Bibi/Miss Wednesday & Crocodile (the first -major- villian :D) REALLY impressed me. (A runaway princess that's NOT cliche! GOLD STARS GALORE!) And I've loved it ever since. Luffy is a childish, straightforward, go-getting character--the kind most of us love, right? :D Awesome, awesome manga!
