Snooze fest...the opening was fun, one of the better that I've seen but the rest of the show was getting too complex and moving too slowly. Also when jumping around the plot you should keep it to a minimum so the viewer doesn't get frustrated and leave

After watching as much of the series as I did there was no way I was going to watch this

The best part of the show was the ending which held my hopes of ever hearing that kind of music in the show. after the 8th ep an no real sign direction or improvement I droped it. Not looking for a music show featuring a kick around attitude

This one is for the kiddies...well at least the first 12 eps are, after that it's a well supported hunch. This show runs like this...weak boy moves to a new town where his sister is being put up by a mysterious wealthy girl. Boy dies saving the wealthy girl and she gives him his life on the condition that he serve her, a rightful heir to Hell's throne, or he can stay dead. Naturally he accepts this and tries to be whatever shield a wimp like him can be. Then come the support characters, a hybrid werewolf with a short temper, a vampire girl of noble blood, and an android with a vocabulary consisting of "huga?" and "huga!".
Seriously they took what would have been a great concept and poured it into a Poke`mon cast. The animation looked very promising, though I don't like the designs on some of the monsters, and who doesn't like superpowers and chainsaws?

Martial Arts, Romantic Comedy
1989-1992

16+ is my recommendation and this is all due to unabashed use of upper body nudity but that is all. No bad language but plenty of martial arts although nothing really serious. Basically this is middle school relationship 101 with a twist. Guy and Girl put together in an arranged marriage by their fathers. Obviously a match by the way their tempers clash. Unfortunately guys dad was less than honorable when promising his son to only one girl. Then there’s the bit about them being cursed and changing form when cold water hits them. The animation isn’t anything special, the music isn’t that great, and while the personality types of the characters make them easy to discern and predict there really isn’t much in the way of character development even though this runs 7 seasons. Hate to say it but even Poke’mon had a better storyline than this. The only thing that will keep anyone watching this is that there is a great deal of slapstick and situational humor...Don’t bother explaining guys because you are always wrong.

I don’t want to recommend this one but its safe for 12+ because of mild cartoon violence. This show is about a red headed punk getting introduced to basketball and sucking horribly at it, fortunately for all he picks up on things fast. Good thing for him he has good teachers bad thing for us that he’s “SLOW”. The only reason that he was on the team in the first place is that he loves the captain’s sister and is motivated enough by that. Too bad she loves his rival who is a total jerk. I will tell you now that I got 40 eps in and gave up on it. The only reason I could go that long is because the show would display a glimmer of the hope right before drowning it like a Salem witch the next minute. This show is crudely drawn for a mid-90’s show. The music sucks, the animation sucks, the story sucks, it’s not fun to watch, and the characters are boring with the only humor being slapstick. I liked Ranma ½ better than this, and I hated Ranma ½ . If anything good came out of this show it is that we have a shining example of how not to make a sports anime.
