It's pretty rare I'm interested in the characters in the first episode, much less a few minutes into it. Anyways, there are quite a few shortcomings with this show, such as the length of it - the other 2/3 arcs had such little time to cover what happened in them that I didn't care, though I didn't like those characters anyways, which is another fault. Only 3 characters were really consequential to the show, so the other ones just felt like fluff. There are 2 episodes in here that tell a backstory, but they are boring, despite providing critical information. It's a very emotional show towards the end - even the dub, which is what I watched (it has a few voice actors from Welcome To The NHK). Great show overall.

6/10 doesn't mean it was bad or wasn't enjoyable. Taking a 40+ hour visual novel and trimming it down into a 13 episode show and then further down into a 90 minute movie means there isn't enough time to build on things properly, even if you're already aware of the plot from the other works. The conversations with Yukito and Misuzu were shallow and boring, so proclaiming "love" 40 minutes in is retarded and not believable. Also, the emotional moments were done much better in the show - 90 minutes of time made every tear jerking moment rushed.

I appreciate that there is very little filler or non-captivating material. Fight scenes are truly epic and the storytelling is highly engrossing. Definitely worth a watch.

Stupid male main character + 1000 self referential jokes to being a whore got so tiring.

I didn't start to get into this movie until it was half over, which is a little pathetic considering you're trying to tell a full story within 60 minutes. The 2deep4u narration was annoying, as was trying to once again sell the stereotypical anime "love" as something serious. The movie was alright, but it tried to come off as overly deep and serious, which is really wasn't.

Slow as all fucking hell for the first 10 or so episodes, then it grows into something decently enjoyable.

By far the most boring of all the Clannad works.

This is the best anime I've ever seen - the amount of emotion and complexity woven into the story is incredible. Cried like a bitch during most of the episodes. I doubt anything else is on this show's caliber. Rewatch value is extremely high.

I think I saw this right after I finished watching After Story, but I watched it again and it's OK, but having gone through the visual novel and seen both seasons, I can't say this is a great stand alone episode. It would've been better if watched following AS, which is what I might've did, but I don't remember.

The dub is an abomination - not even nostalgia can gloss over how fucking childish this shit is. Fight scenes are alright, but every serious moment is ruined with stupid jokes.

Referring to the American version (3 films combined) - dub sucks, soundtrack sucks; this was just a cash grab instead of trying to make something good. The stories are just mashed together. This movie has aged worse than the women of this film's country of origin.

70 minutes of absolute nonsense - just running around and squealing. Made me hate every single character. 5 or so minutes of battles, which were compressed for time so it was just "YELLLL!!" and then an evolution and it was over. Ending was enough for me to skim through the next one. This movie is an absolute piece of shit; just another way to make money off of 80 pound faggots who say "my childhooooooood". Fuck off.

Digimon needs to be mature and dark if they want to recapture the original fanbase - this show is a great example of that, with epic fights, dank music, and a great story. They really should've kept this style instead of doing Xros Wars which was for the handicapped.

After watching and loving the Savers TV show, I was excited to hear there was a movie. It's only 22 minutes? Well that's kinda like a new episode. I was disappointed and enraged when I was done - the fuck is this garbage? It had nothing to do with Savers at all and the length destroyed any chance of the story becoming anything good (I doubt there was potential anyways).

Shirou is a very annoying character. Anyways, the fight scenes were pretty good, although short and having almost every opponent let them leave was cheap because it's unrealistic and only served to elongate the plot. Too many episodes which I wouldn't call filler, but were dull and filled with nothing but backstory/dialog which I kept zoning out to. This anime is alright, but the higher score is reflective of a build up to a future pay off.

It was good enough for me to continue watching, eh

Pretty much the same as season 1, except with less episodes. No resolution in sight since the manga is still going - season 3 shouldn't be any different, but I still like the show.

I watched this shit back in like 2005, which I liked it because it was darker than what Pokemon usually is. I doubt my strong opinion would hold up present day though, because old Pokemon shit's only selling point is nostalgia - it doesn't hold up at all.

Just as formulaic as the previous 460+ episodes, though not as gay as the ones that followed. Just like whatever the fuck was in Advanced Generation, having contests made the show contain less filler, even though somehow it took an entire year between 2 gym battles.

A movie in which the present day quality is unequivocally defined by the past - that is the only reason why I would ever watch this movie again.

In typical romance anime fashion, the main character has 3 girls all crushing on him and he is relatively oblivious. The main female character is annoying as shit, going beyond the typical tsundere character, though that doesn't make this show any less enjoyable for the most part. I'm glad there was more of a legitimate conclusion to this show, compared to a lot of romance animes not having a true ending. The show was quite enjoyable.

If you're anxious to relive your childhood interests, Yu-Gi-Oh does a far better job of holding up than Pokemon or Digimon, but that isn't saying much. This movie however also does a better job of taking a TV setting and making it feel really epic in a movie. It standing alone however, is nothing too special.
