I got into Anime about three years ago I was at a friend's house and he was watching some so I got watching it and before I knew it I was hooked! Anime isn't really shown over here on TV apart from stuff like Pokemon, Dragon Ball etc but that's really aimed at a younger audience obviously.
I have the day off work today so I'm planning a mini Durarara Marathon although theres a part of me that doesn't want it to end! Pluto is a great Manga, it's about the "seven great robots" of the world being targeted by a killer, one of those robots being Atom from Astro Boy, it's basically set in the Astro boy world but using one of the support characters as the main character and with a change of genre. It's very good.
So New York City, nice place to live or would you rather be somewhere else? New York City to me seems make believe, in the way it's always on television and almost seems like a huge set for a TV show, everything seems unreal lol.
Yeah I've been looking into reading the novels but I don't think they've been released in english yet. I'm reading Pluto at the moment thats a cool Manga to read.
Durarara is really original too it's like no other Anime I've ever watched, I think I'll end up watching it again not so long after I complete it. Death Note was great too I could sit there watching episode after episode of that.
Where abouts are you from? I take it your not from the U.K.? How long have you been watching Anime for?
It's amazing, It's such a refreshing anime to watch theres part of me that wishes that my city was like the one in Durarara, apart from the human experiments pharmacy although theres probably already a few of those where I live... it would explain alot, like the homeless that seem to look more and more like pigeons everyday lol.
I just need to watch the second Eden movie which hopefully I'll do very soon. The theme song was Oasis thats my home town band, I thought it was cool when one of their songs was the theme music.
Good because I would be forced to hunt you down for the rest of my days If you didn't...saying that I would most probably give up and just watch TV but still! lol.
I took a quick look at your watched list, you've seen Eden of the East what did you think of it? I don't think I'll ever forget the naked guys running through the shopping mall I'm pretty sure that breaks about a million health and safety regulations right there! lol.
