Speaking of sci-fi, it's been ages since I last watched Last Exile and Silent Mobius.

That’s too bad about your dog. Hopefully she’s fully recovered soon. I can imagine it’s no fun having an energetic pet stuck in a cast. Going anywhere fun for vacation or just relaxing at home?

On my end, I moved up to Minnesota and started studying at U of M last fall, so I’ve been here for close to a year now. Thankfully I haven’t had a fire in my new apartment. :P I haven’t been watching as much anime since I’ve gotten hooked on a few mobile games that are now sucking up my free time. First it was Puzzle & Dragons and more recently Terra Battle.

Other than that it's mostly just the same as usual. Still kickin’ it single as well and counting down the semesters until graduation.

Fortunately for me I haven't changed degrees or programs haha. But you're right though, I just finished my last few exams and I'm practically done now. it was such an overwhelming last few months, but I pulled though! i have to fervently hunt down a good job, so the hard part begins with resumes and interviews....blah! at least I have a little more time to do other things, but not too much. You were going to do some stuff in the army if i recall? What are you taking now? And i have you on fb too haha so I should message you more on there too! XD

Yeah I only watched bits and pieces myself. I was really looking forward to watching Olympic hockey but then most of the games were at 7 AM or even earlier. D: It’s just not as fun watching replays when you already know the result.

I’m still on episode 3. I haven’t had a lot of time for it since I missed some classes and then there was a lot of work leading up to spring break. Maybe now I can catch up on a few more episodes.

I see. Yeah my family is split between Bears and Packers fans so it does get pretty heated sometimes. XD By now I’m pretty much used to it. And speaking of sports did you watch any of the Olympics?

Now I’ve seen a few episodes of Golden Time and I’m honestly not quite sure what to think about it. It hasn’t really drawn me in but everyone is saying it gets better so I guess I’ll keep watching.

Boulder is just a really isolated college town. I prefer living in a bigger city. Minneapolis, Madison, and Ann Arbor are all much better in that respect. Champaign is bigger than Boulder at least.

Michigan will be my #1 choice if I get in. They have a great engineering school, and in fact their aerospace program is ranked #3 in the country. It's really competitive to get in there though, so there's a good chance I won't make it. Illinois would probably be my next choice since they have a good engineering school also and it's hard to argue with in-state tuition. =P

I'm a Packers fan, actually. It runs in my family. XD Though tbh I'm not as avid as most of the rest of them about it. Why do you ask?

Haha that's awesome. But that's how you know you've got the right job if you can get excited like that.

btw what do you think of Golden Time? I've heard some good things about it and the synopsis sounds like something I might like.

Yeah. The schools that I'm focusing on are the Universities of Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. I'll probably also apply to Colorado, although I wouldn't be too excited about living in Boulder haha.

That does sound very different from what I remember you doing before, but it's great that you enjoy it. What exactly do you analyze? o:

Nah I'm not working anymore. I did both school and work part-time for my first two semesters but starting in the summer I left my job to focus on school. It was definitely the right decision 'cause I don't miss it at all. XD

Haha yeah I'll definitely be glad when I'm finally finished, although that's still a few years away.

It only just went above freezing here yesterday. There was rain too, and combined with some of the snow melting it made puddles and slush everywhere. ._. Not fun.

Not a whole lot is going on with me since it's winter break. I gotta finish up my transfer applications soon though since some schools have deadlines that are less than a month away. How about you? Where are you working now?

I'm studying engineering. My goal is still to work at a space program so I'm aiming for a degree in aerospace engineering. Right now though I'm just taking the basic classes to prepare to transfer in the fall.

We weren't completely snowed in but we've still gotten a lot more snow than usual here. Unlike a few years ago it wasn't just one record snowstorm; instead it was spread out and just kept coming. The temperatures today got really cold too. Here it got down to about -20 F with a -40 F wind chill, but in some other suburbs I read that the wind chill got as low as -60 F! It's supposed to get just above 0 F tomorrow so that will feel almost like summer. =P

I've been pretty good. I had a really busy semester so now I'm just enjoying the chance to relax over winter break. The weather here has been getting pretty crazy though. Have you seen much of these winter storms near you?
