2016 was a great year for anime movies. The biggest hit was "Kimi no Na wa" while "Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni" becomes my all-time best. This "Koe no Katachi" is my top recommendation in 2016 movies because this is the complete answer to why bullying is bad.

This is not only a masterpiece of Shin-chan series but also the masterpiece in my anime list just because of the several-minute silent-part in this movie.
The direction of the silent part ended by Hiroshi's sigh was really emotional. I watched this over 10 times because I wanted to compare other movies/animes with this. Always, these several minutes make me cry. No one dies but I cried! If someone's death is allowed, the direction of TV series "a place further than the universe" is better than this. I think this is a farewell for our past. Our past is "dead" because we never get this back. ...

This is the worst of my list. Sorry for fans. I really wanted to see Ghibli's masterpiece of my favorite Earthsea but Goro Miyazaki made it impossible.
The song by Aoi Teshima was great. The lyric of the song was also great. I like it more than the song of Princess Mononoke. However, the lyric with the credit Goro Miyazaki originally came from Sakutaro Hagiwara(1886-1942). Great song, good art, good music, and Ghibli-like animation make me sad. I am always thinking about wrong points of the plot and story, mainly hero's mind. Then, I felt remorse of conscience again and again, that was never rescued. This ... |
