After watching the first trailer I have abstained from watching subsequent ones so I can be surprised once the anime airs; I am not going to lie, I am really wishing the anime does the manga justice.
I am taking your word that the trailer was promising, and if it looked creepy then that is a good indicator of what is coming. I must say, I like Yoshiki's anime design, I feel is a bit different, but I can feel how miserable he is.
Personally, I am deciding after watching; that the way A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School was butchered made me distrustful about manga I want to see animated.

I am still shocked at that man; I don't know who is crazier, the manga proclaiming to be a god, or the people who follow his lead. Is a bit sad though, can you imagine how low your self-esteem needs to be for you to follow that craziness? Talk about childhood trauma, having no one around, and needing validation from whoever says something nice about you. Making anime for a cultist is now at the top of my list.

I need to go back and read it, there weren't many chapters available when I first watched it, but it is so good; I swear I love those four hooligans so much hahaha. It is a nice mix of supernatural and shounen, especially because you know something dark is happening behind the stage.
Q-Force never caught my attention that much, although Sean Hayes is a brilliant actor. I remember this show was announced one day, and it took quite some years before it aired. I need to watch Arcane someday.
Hahaha, is funny how much everyone hates Miraculous Ladybug; I never watched much of the show, but Marinette seems to be quite a polarizing character, Adrian is bland, and Alya is the worst friend you could ever have. Also, some people claimed it was quite racist.

I don't know how to feel about that, to be honest; I've been reading manga and manhwa illegally for years, and my only contribution has been buying the physical volumes of the ones I enjoyed, such as Jigokuraku. I am starting to feel bad about her to be honest, I think I am going to find a site to legally read manga and also to wait for manhwa reveals on Webtoon.

By the way, have you been watching anime? This season wasn't that good in my opinion, but the next one seems to be quite promising.
Also, have I told you about the worst romance anime I watched?

Heya !!! , how is it going ?

Well, since I've established that that's impossible, you must now instantly reply to my comment.

Hi
Hazbyn Apr 30, 9:24 PM
I haven't watched the trailer, and I've been quite disconnected, though I must say I don't dislike generic songs; lots of people enjoy complaining about them, but I need to hear everything in detail before judging.
Yeah, if there is something I have learned is to lower your expectations; if I did that maybe I would have enjoyed the anime adaptation of A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School. I will watch the adaptation of The Summer Hikaru Died, but I will be ready for everything.

I couldn't ship them, to be honest, I liked Tsuna and also felt bad for him, Enma was my baby, he is way too precious and cute, and I don't know why but I dislike Basil hahaha.
The final arc, while having an interesting concept, had some weird moments; the second-to-last arc would have been a better conclusion. Still, I don't feel it was axed, maybe rushed, but the WSJ tends to do that to their manga, so I wouldn't be surprised. I would love for a continuation, it was a very special series.

That was quite a dark little fact; a cult-producing anime to recruit members sounds like something the president of North Korea would do. Really something crazy.
Forgive me if I am wrong, and I don't want to sound disrespectful by any means to victims of cults, but did that man have a harem? Because honestly, it sounds like that. The fact all the women decided to stay with him shows that either he was a perfect man, or those women had truly low standards and their bar was low.

I recently began reading another manga that wasn't on my list, Phantom Busters, and all those characters are so hilarious; I hope it receives an anime adaptation someday. I love how they make so many references to western culture and popular manga series.
I also began watching a TV sitcom I didn't know existed until its channel appeared out of nowhere; the show's name is Ghost, and it is so funny.

For real? Was her Manhwa released without her consent? I am not going to lie, I read it illegally, but I feel bad for that author, I feel she wasn't planning to release it yet in physical format or didn't receive a deal yet.

I think almost 90% of people need to agree to be test subjects, is not like someone can get picked on the streets against their will; I know they get paid quite well for participating in studios, but I do not know if they are also tended if the medicines don't have a good effect on their bodies.

I suppose, if you really want to get technical, yes, many existing seme fall into that pattern. But I'm just so used to garbage BL that I'm happy to see even one redeeming quality in an asshole seme, you know. I think my fav are the fluffy seme - complete cinnamon rolls that are either hopelessly in love w the uke or are completely oblivious to his feelings.

Yeah, I've read that BL. Quite mature, and surprisingly features seke - a rarity in BL, for whatever reason. If you mean the yakuza Sarazanmai, I read it but it honestly didn't impress me. Have read hundreds of yakuza manga better, and as mature, as that one.

I'll take your word for it, but foreshadowing still doesn't excuse a complete 180 from being single to being lovers in one chapter, imo.

I feel that is something that needs to happen in the anime; to have a VA who can talk like an innocent kid, and then sound like an eldrich abomination when he can't control himself. Maybe having two voice actors can work. Still, I agree with you that it needs to sound like that because that was striking and horrifyingly brilliant.

I didn't ship them, to be honest, I liked them as close friends; I found Enma to be cute, it was sweet how silly he was, and I enjoyed his friendship with Tsuna since Tsuna clearly saw him as himself, and lent him a hand.
I need a remake or a continuation of Katekyo Hitman Reborn; in this age of receiving so many remakes and continuations, I hope the author gives the story another chance.

I am not sure, I am new to Bang Dream, I have only watched MyGO and Ave Mujica, and I don´t have many intentions of watching the older anime.
This is the first time I have heard of a Japanese Cult Leader who has anime about him. Who is he?

I get what you say, sometimes I also forget to do things, such as watching something someone recommended to me; it is not like I am not interested, but so many things can happen in a single day hahaha.
That´s true, people do not always have enough money to spare to buy something they may want; still, leaving the option open is not a bad idea, and maybe there will be some commissions.

With all the Japanese people working in the anime and manga industry getting overworked daily I didn´t know it was the same for Korean artists; I mean, I know the idol industry in Korea is a nightmare, but not that the artists had it rough. Maybe that explains why they released such insanely good chapters weekly, to avoid getting canceled.
It is not fun at all how easily hands and arms can get numb or tired so frequently; everyone deserves a break without being scared their stories won't be hatched.

I get what you mean, but at times it is impossible not to need a person to test vaccines since the results may not be the same as when used on animals, which I am also against. Sadly, I think there is no way to release a new medicine or vaccine without testing it on someone first.

Hello! We have been in each others' friends list for so long and have never interacted! And we have some favorites in common (Sarazanmai, Stars Align and Ao no Flag). I also really enjoyed Shimanami Tasogare and am very excited for The Summer Hikaru Died anime. Plus, we both enjoy BL! How have we not spoken? XD

*extends hand for handshake*
Nice to meet you properly!! :)

EDIT: By the way, the only reference I recognize in your bio is the Simon and Wilhelm characters from Young Royals, because I just watched that show earlier this year. It was amazing and it made me cry.
-Sonal- Mar 3, 6:34 PM
Not really. There are many with this trope, but most of them featured an asshole rapist seme and a doormat uke, usually of similar age groups.

If you like experimental stories, then you should try Asada Nemui's works. They're different from your usual BLs.

Yes, the ending was rushed. I'm guessing the publication gave the mangaka a very short notice bc how those 2 got together was never really explained.
-Sonal- Mar 1, 3:10 PM
Why was there an adult's attraction to a child to begin with? It's an instant turn off.

I like more "realistic" art. I find that whimsical art is fine when it's fantasy and such, not BL. For BL, my MCs have to at least be decent looking.

Ahaha. Seems like you have a bone to pick with that manga. And yeah, very few manga are able to hold onto their content being good till the end. Look at what happened to Ao No Flag.
Hazbyn Feb 28, 7:14 PM
Don't worry about it, I did understand the video quite well, and I agree that monster Hikaru's voice was something else, and very scary and off-putting; very suitable indeed.
Hahaha, I like your description of Hikaru's voice, and I agree that a voice a bit annoying and regular would suit him amazingly. I completely understand, I was also caught off guard when the monster's voice sounded.

Yes! His name is Enma and I remember he was the boss of the Simon family if I recall right. I honestly liked his character in the manga a lot, especially his friendship with Tsuna. His vomic voice was nice, and it makes me sad that maybe he will never appear in the main story.

I just got into Bang Dream this year, before 2025 I didn´t know a thing about them; people have taught me that it is a huge franchise with several bands that has real-life counterparts, and that are actually very popular. I think the first seasons weren't that popular, but the latest two seasons, MyGO and Ave Mujica, which aren´t related to the first adaptations, have been quite popular.

I imagine something like that, it can't be easy to draw something, especially when you want it to look good.
Two weeks, that is a lot of time.
Don´t feel bad, maybe someday you will earn some income from it; have you considered making commissions? I saw someone on Instagram doing art for the Bat Family, nothing NSFW; they have a lot of pictures and are actually really good.
Yeah, it is better to be cautious.

Honestly, SIU's wrist pains aren´t surprising when you notice the quality of the lengthy chapters he released; it is ridiculous how detailed everything is for a weekly release series. Regardless, I don't know if the working conditions for artists are the same as in Japan, regarding MAPPA for instance.

It is understandable sometimes things are error and trial, and I have been told that we can develop allergies even in the later stages of life. Still, it is indeed a bit scary how things can turn for the worse for a simple illness.
-Sonal- Feb 25, 6:05 PM
> How do you not like Doukyuusei's art?
Apart from its weird/wonky body proportions, the one thing I did not like was the pedophile angle. It was unnecessary and like always, didn't add anything to the plot.

Yes, Koimonogatari definitely had pretty delicate art and subtle expressions, but I can see how that could be interpreted as "expressionless" by someone else. But honestly, unless I couldn't tell if a character was sad or happy despite it being made "clear" by the mangaka, I have never really given expressions much thought. It's probably bc of all the background effects (?) that anyway help you understand the gravity of any given situation.
-Sonal- Feb 24, 2:29 AM
You'll have to elaborate on not showing emotions properly, bc I've never faced that problem before. If anything, I've fund many expressions and reactions overexaggerated, where I would have preferred a more subtle reaction. But I understand that these books cater to the lowest common denominator that enjoys in-your-face content, so it's just something I have to deal with.

Yeah, wtf was up with that super fugly art style? And why did the fans just accept it?
It’s time to ditch the text file.
