Best piece of media i've ever experienced. Changed the trajectory of my life unironically. It's characters are all so human, the conflicts are all so human, the struggles are all so human. While people tend to get caught up in all the religious symbolism and the raw mecha fights, at this shows core is a character study on humanity. It takes a look at every feeling and emotion we express and analyzes it in such a beautiful way. There isn't a single character in this show who isn't heavily flawed and I kind of love it for that. I can't even begin with the beautiful direction done by the amazing Hideaki Anno. There isn't almost a single shot that doesn't have thought put into it. If you have yet to watch this show, I implore you to. It's a little bit slowed paced compared to other animes but it's still great nevertheless. I hope by the end of your watch you'll be able to understand why this is one of the most iconic animes of all time.

Before I started one piece I was one of those people who thought it was mid I wont lie. After I actually picked it up I enjoyed it a lot. After I reached the Arlong Park arc and the iconic moment of Nami begging for luffy's help, I fell in love with this series. It's a constant train that just keeps going and giving you so many emotions. It might have one of my favorite casts of all time. "We Are!" also might be my favorite anime opening of all time. This series truly captures the heart and spirit of adventure and I don't think any mangaka other than Oda would be able to do it to such an extent. I know the series looks long, but I'm begging you to pick it up, it'll be worth it.

Outright one of the best shonen series in history. It's ability to make you feel everything from laughing, to sorrow, to hopefulness really just puts it above head and shoulders above its competition.
