Well, the two main characters of Kaichou wa Maid-sama! are the top two students at school. The same is very much true for Special A (the plot sort of revolves around it). Also like in Special A, Misaki from Maid-sama considers Takumi her enemy while Takumi oh so obviously has an interest in Misaki. The main pairings are similar is my main point. Bascially, if you like Kei and Hikari's relationship, but want some faster development, Kaichou wa Maid-sama is a good manga to read.

~ Similar genre: Shoujo, Comedy, Romance, School . But Namaikizakari have "Sport". ~ A HANDSOME TEASING/ARROGANT Male lead & a COOL, STRONG, MATURE Female lead . Usui Takumi = Naruse Shou Ayuzawa Misaki = Machida Yuki ~ Female lead in Kaichou wa maid-sama is a President of the Student Council, while the Female lead in Namaikizakari is a Manager of Basketball Club. ~ Male lead falling in love first with the Female lead. If you like Usui/Misaki in KWMS, then you might like Namaikizakari!

the similarities are the main heroine is not too feminine, and the guy is protecting her in case of danger.

Similar sort of humour, and both have strong female leads. Both are very enjoyable too.
reportRecommended by st_owly
In both KWMS and Last Game, the guy likes the girl first but the girl doesn't like the guy; The girl is strong, doesn't really have intrest in most things, doesn't pay much attention to the guy, the art is a bit simular, both vary cute! I get a KWMS feel when reading Last Game. :)
reportRecommended by MermaidGalaxies
Kazuma from Faster than a kiss really reminds me of Usui from KWMS. They are really similar, not only their appearance but also how they like to tease the girl they like =) The dynamics of both couples is really funny because of all the teasing. Also, there are some similarities between Fumino and Misaki: the guys in their school are afraid of getting beaten by them =)

There's a love story that begins as a rivalry on the side of the girl. both involve maid :D both girls fight or deny their sentiments, and are strong willed. Kaichou wa maid-sama is better imho, because the story of himitsu no ai chan seems to have evolved from a one volume story to a serialization, so the first chapters are too quick and go over a lot of things that could have been better thought out a little slower for a few extra chapters :).

Same characters I mean main and supporting ones too ( like three idiots ) Both mangas have very hard studying girl, bishounen guy, elite guys falling in onesided love with 'study bugs' (:D) , . . .

In both mangas the girl falls for the guy cause guy teases the girl. Also Takumi( Kaichou wa Maid-sama) and Kyouta ( Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu) have an unknown past.

Both male leads discover the female lead's "secret" Both have an anime adaptation. The male and female leads of both show are perfect for each other.
reportRecommended by fatiqsue_
They both involve a high school relationship, and in both, they all have trouble understanding eachother's feelings, even though it's quite obvious that they are in love. And this leads to a few misunderstandings between the parties because they have problems conveying their feelings properly. That's all the real similarity between the two. In terms of plot setting. Other than that, they are quite different.
reportRecommended by JoeSchulz
Both revolve around the relationship between the female and male protagonist. The difference in classes is similar and involves family issues

Main character are female that are very hard-working. They both have lots of duties after school. For example Misaki has to do a part-time maid job, while Hori has to take care of her brother. The females are also popular somewhat. They aren't masochist at the most. The male characters are just bodacious. Both male characters find their secret about their duties/jobs after school. "PERRFEECCT COUPLE"

Both involve working in a Maid cafe and both are rivals!
reportRecommended by jobacans
Both have the whole commoner x rich dude thing down, and they're both pretty cute and funny. Plus, the main character is both all about doing something with their own strength, and not having to rely on other people. However, Kiss/Hug is a little more revolved around romance then Kaichou wa Maid-sama!.
reportRecommended by PlasticPaper
Both female protagonists have a side, personality and image they don't want people at school to see.

It's been a long time since I've read AAA, but from what I can remember, whenever I read Kaichou wa Maid-sama...I though that it was similar to AAA, with the male lead being shrouded in mystery.

The female lead is student council president who can kick butt, is not afraid to speak her own mind, and who will gladly jump in to protect those they care about. They also both have secrets they are trying to conceal...
reportRecommended by Breezie-D
The two female heroines remind me of each other. Both are intelligent, have a mean fist, a smart mouth and a guy near them whose attention they may not necessarily desire at first. It seems that the romantic attention makes them both a little uncomfortable. Bloody kiss involves vampires and is quite a bit shorter though.
reportRecommended by Breezie-D
The plot is not really the same(other than the high-school vibe), but the male and female lead are very similar. You've got a cool/teasing boy and a strong/indipendant girl. If you like one, you will definitelly love the other.

In both, the girls are strong, cool and intelligent, so they get the respect of those who surround the,. both are good, unique stories with romance and humor.

Both manga are about a poor girl in the student council who meets a guy who falls for her almost immediately. Both guys are popular and handsome, although the guy from Hoshito To Kuzu is more like the smart type whereas the guy from Kaichou Wa Maid Sama is more like the bad boy type. If you enjoyed Kaichou Wa Maid Sama, I would strongly recommend Hoshi To Kuzu. Although I have yet to finish it, I do think that they will differ in that Hoshi To Kuzu will have more romance.

In Kaichou wa Maid-sama we have a strong girl who works for a living. If you liked that about her being a strong female lead that helps support her family working after school and the other interactions of the story - I think you will like ReRe Hello. The female lead is also a hard working girl. In this one she works for a rich boy who lives alone, so some things about that dynamic are also similar. They are very enjoyable, high quality shoujos for readers that appreciate that. The male leads in both of  read more

Romance where male MC is trying to take heart of female MC. Cook and popular Male character, who don't get intrested with any girl besides main female character. Female MC can be stubborn and is trying to do all by herself. Main male character is really good at sport. Comedy.

(Recommendation for the last side story (First Love) in Bijin Kakumei) They basically have the same blueprint: strong girl who protects the other girls in her school against the guys. By some coincidence, she gets to know another good looking guy who is different from the rest. Notwithstanding her protests, he comes to save her. This causes her to fall in love with him. Maid-sama is a lot longer though.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama is the story of a girl who is both the president of her highschool as well as an employee at a maid cafe. Misaki finds herself being stalked by Usui Takumi, one of the most attractive and love men in the school whom she has a detestible hate for. It is a story of how a girl must come to terms with her emotions and admit to feeling affection as well as trying to keep her secrets secret for the sake of her reputation. I felt these 2 manga had very similar characters. Misaki and Nora are both sheltered when it comes to guys and are each brought out by their demon and perverted outer-space human.
reportRecommended by Icis
The idea of having the main heroine being a part of school's clubs/extra curricular causing her to be busy and experiencing a relationship for the first time, using this an excuse from getting further in a relationship with that one person. The main male lead is also somewhat persistent as Usui Takumi :)
reportRecommended by Onigiri-tea
Hm, how to say it. It's kinda similar, cause, as in Kaichou - Misaki, who is with Usui and they love each other, someday new person ( it seems like ) appears, and he confes to her ( of course he was in love with her for a long time, but, like in all shoujo manga, she didin't notice that ) and if we will look at it in this way, then that both manga has the same story - maybe a few details are different ;D
reportRecommended by Shadake
Although both main characters are boys in Coda, the two mangas both involve a male finding out a secret that the other protagonist wanted to keep from the public. The protagonist freaks out while the male uses it to his advantage. In Kaichou wa Maid Sama, the secret was that she worked at a maid's cafe. In Coda, Haru dances ballet but has to cross dress.

Mikki the lead female is not girly and very good at sports similar to Misaki - Nekota the male lead is good at various things and loved by both the girls and boys just like Usui Mikki-Class Representative Misaki- Student Council President * Both are leaders of something school related
reportRecommended by hiyorin-tan
Both mangas feature a strong female lead who is level-headed without being too stubborn. While both girls fight for the weak, they are also both realistic in that they accept help when they need it, however ruefully that may be. Both male leads are also similar in their attraction to the female leads, and have some very enticing romance scenes that surprise you from out of no where and take a while to build up. Oiran Girl took me a few chapter to get into, but once I stuck with it until ch 6 or 7 I was hooked! Highly recommend both mangas.

Both the male lead characters are pretty much flirts and always be following their lovers around like hawks

Both heroines(?) are strong and can gets super worked up but is actually tsundere. Basically, both titles have the same kind of execution of comedy, at least for the early stages where they are not dealing with serious stuff. It could have been a popular style at that time.
reportRecommended by fortachiyomi
Both MLs are assertive and the FLs reactions are almost similar. Both the mangas have main characters mostly similar. The plot may be different but it seems like both the series are like brothers. Both are fun to read.

Both of these shoujo manga deals with a dark haired girl protag with a hatred of men ( in Misaki's case, her hatred of men is more extreme than Rin's since Rin is just distant from them ), both manga also has a popular blond male lead who's really popular with girls and doesn't show much emotion

Another masterpiece, these are both extremely good and iconic manga series! Maid-Sama isn't as much as a blatant harem like Kiss him, not me is. But it does have some of those characteristics. They both have very good and likeable main characters with their own variety of side characters including love interests and the comedy is top tier.
reportRecommended by Beauty4theBeast
In both these stories the hero is very prince-like, so much so that he's almost out of this world. At the same time as he seems superior, he's far from perfect. The hero falls in love with the heroine first and it takes the hard-working heroine with a more average air some time to catch up. The main difference between the two manga? Kaichou wa Maid-sama! is far superior to Kuro Hakushaku in every way.
reportRecommended by evilteddybear101
Both have main characters that "like" each other. The boys are both pushy at first, and the girls reject them, but then it slowly grows on them.

Poor but hardworking girl(s) determined to beat rich and genius boy(s). The character's personality and relationship toward each other from Maid-sama! and Koi Yori are also very similar.
reportRecommended by AyumuMomoiro
Male MC is the biggest conundrum of smart, cool, rich boy with a splash of himbo energy whereas female MC is unapproachable for being too cool. That said even with being on opposite spectrums. Hats off to both best boys because even though their signals aren't received from the girl (a mix of too hardworking, a little naive, and jaded about love), they're genuine and straightforward. Honestly, they're both just soo good. Anyways, read it. Also hold your heart...you'll need it.

S-tier pure romance; you want butterflies and middle school awkwardness? You got it. You want delicious artstyles -- these are peak shoujo art styles. Sometimes you just want easy romance where neither the ML or FL stray to other people -- then this is it. The rainy day manga you were saving when you just want wholesomely childish, and vvv cute romance to give you your seratonin for the year.

"Forbidden" relationship with a quirky, and comedic male lead who's obviously deeply head over heels-- but is willing to keep his genuine puppy love hidden under loud flirting. Or..hmm.. maybe it's not puppy love, and instead is their coping mechanism for being lonely. It's a dangerous balance of cute and vvv dangerous.

I reccommend kaichou wa maid-sama more than Gauken Ouji. Kaichou wa maid-sama is like Gakuen Ouji because of the setting. School has girls and boys now. In Gakuen Ouji girls outpopulate the guys and in Kaichou wa maid-sama guys outpopulate the girls

they both have really strong girls in them!

there both maids and really strong for some reason!
reportRecommended by Hikari0Kakashi
The main characters both have problems with the guy who's in love with them simply cause they're guys. In Morning, Noon, and Night, Shinobu is scared of Yokomizo because he reminds her of a man in her past, and in kaichou wa maid-sama! Ayuzawa doesn't like Usui because he knows her secret. Both very cute, with the girl eventually falling for the guys.
reportRecommended by Rubberducki
Very similar type of romance and beautiful drawings. Both female leads are independent and are accustomed to being treated a certain way. Both male leads are persistently pursuing a female who, while being treated extraordinarily, seems to be convinced they do it to all girls. Hakushaku deals with magic and nobles in England and is a bit more actiony. The female lead lacks confidence because of awkwardness. The female lead in Maid however, has a lot of confidence and is brash. Maid-sama takes place high school Japan. Both are good romantic shoujo's. Nothing disgusting though I like both like to push boundaries.
reportRecommended by kilimonian
Well male and female leads both strong minded and male likes female, female thinks she doesn't like male, and lots of other things are the same. to be honest if you like one your definitely going to like the other.
reportRecommended by icye-kiss
The main girls for both of these series have such strength in them that you can't help but feel that they are pretty much the same type that will kick butt for what's right.
reportRecommended by AoiMemori
Both have a male character who has taken an interest in the lead female main character, and are somewhat alpha in that respect. Such as they are not like anime guys that are oblivious to obvious romantic and emotional signals. Also both guys are privy to a secret that the lead female character doesn't want shared. Also, when I recommend "Suki ni Naru Made Matte", I am mainly referring to story "1/3 no Kareshi" that is inside the manga.
reportRecommended by Cruxis_Angel
Similar lead characters. Also has a hint of romance in both.

Both heroines are frank, emotionally-strong individuals who really have no interest in finding love at the beginning of the story....but it just sort of happens.

Both involve a student council leader who hates guys. Tenjou no Kajitsu is a lot shorter and more like traditional shoujo than Kaichou wa Maid-sama though.
reportRecommended by boba_nai_cha
In both mangas, the main female is a tough girl, and they aren't very good with relationship problems. Another similarity is that in both mangas, the main male character is one of the best looking guys in school, and they both have girls over all them, though I think I like the male lead in kaichou wa maid-sama a bit more.
reportRecommended by swtcakes
Both are about popular girls working at a cafe/tea house and being discovered by a boy at school.
reportRecommended by mishlax
They give you the same kind of feeling. The main girl is a tough girl that everyone "fears". The main guy is extremely hot and popular, good at everything he does, so everyone wants him to be part of their clubs etc. While Usui (KWMS) only wears his glasses at home, Katsuya (Chocolate Cosmos) only uses them at school.
reportRecommended by Orulyon
Both are about a strong willed tomboy girl that has a goal to fulfill. For that, she secretly has a part time job on a maid café. Many comedy, romance and also both mangas have 3 boys (the three "idiots") who are friends of her. The only difference is that Uwasa Midori kun is more mature and has a love triangle while Kaichou wa maid sama is centered in the main couple and more light hearted scenes.
reportRecommended by Orulyon
KKJ and Maid-sama main two characters are somewhat similar. The Strong Girl who appears tough, while dealing with some family problems, and does what she can to help others. Then in the first chapter introduces the main guy who, bit by bit, understands what she goes through and does whatever they can to protect her. Sounds like the basic shoujo ideal, right? Ahah... No. It's called recommendation bc it's worth the read. Both mangas have a great meaning to them around this shoujo cliche, while their tragedy and storyline go far to make it really enjoyable.

A strong-willed heroine with a developing love interest, both of which are not fully aware of the guy's obvious feelings for her. Moreover, the great art of the mangas really plays with the comedy (especially for the main guy's crazy antics, and the girls' dense look). Both mangas are really good and hilarious. And if you read Her Majesty's Dog, you can see the character similarities too. Difference between these two is that Maid-sama is more like one big development, while Her Majesty's Dog is more like stories here and there with the development in the background. Either way, they both have a girl that  read more

Both guys are parentless and have little brothers. Both act tough and cool, Usui being the popular guy whilst Hirata is the delinquent. The ladies are similarly opposed, Chiemi is the most violent girl in school but wants to stay in school whilst Misaki is the class president who acts tough in front of the guys. Highly comical and interesting. I do recommend reading both for the romantic comedy.

The drawings are very similar. Boku wa and Kaichou are VERY different, While the main girl in Boku wa Kisu is natural shy ad shows it, in Kaichou wa maid the girl is very outgoing and just shows her soft and vulnerable side to the people she trusts the most. The plot is a little different but when they feel embarressed or afraid, they look alike! And the main boys are both hot and popular... Both are sweet, good and simple to read :D

At one point, the love interests are both chefs and the females are both waitresses, however the circumstances are different.
