Honestly I think both are amazing but I kinda prefer 1979 one cause I've enjoyed it more and my memories with 1979 are unforgettable.

And what about you guys ?

The 1979 version as its the OG and I grew up watching it
Actually there's a 1973 version but it was very Short

1979 version is OG no doubt, but as a kid, watching the 2005 one was better, because of the animation quality, so it's gonna be 2005 for me.

Both versions are really good. Obviously the animation, backgrounds, etc are better in the new one. Both art styles are good and which one is better is honestly completely subjective. Most people here are nostalgic for 1979 because that's what they watched as kids (including myself) but the 2005 is equally good as they're both incredibly similar. The 1979 version aired (and still airs) when I was a child and the 2005 version aired (and it also still airs) during my teen years, so I've watched both of them a fair bit. I've seen that many of the stories of 1979 have been remade in the 2005 version with most of them being extended as well. There isn't a huge difference so if you're new to the show, I'll recommend you to try some of the same storyline episodes of both the shows and judge for yourself which one you wanna watch

1979 one, it was fantastic........ even the movies of the 1979series was really amazing.
I know I'm heavily biased due to nostalgia but that's how I can judge a show like Doraemon.

So close to my heart, the 2005 version ruins it for me.

Old is gold here.
