Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions (Shogakukan-Shueisha Prouductions Co., Ltd.) (abbreviated as ShoPro) is a subsidiary of Shogakukan, Shueisha, and Hakuensha based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Since its establishment as Shogakukan Productions (Shogakukan Productions, Co., Ltd.) in June of 1967 to license and merchandise IPs held by its initial parent Shogakukan, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions has since grown to as of 2023 operate three-core business segments; the media division, educational development division, and business development division.
In June 2008, Shogakukan Productions became the current Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions (Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd.) when Shogakukan’s affiliate, Shueisha, became an investor in the company; for the purpose of being able flexibly deal with the overseas marketplace and to streamline operations. In the following year, Hakusensha, a subsidiary of Shueisha, invested in Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions.
