Following two diverse groups of girls who put on performances to save what they love. LL's team splits into several idol groups, who compete both on and off the stage, while AHCFs split into Heroes and Villains on stage, and are purely competitive off it. These series have a strong focus on character rather than plot, and though their stages may be very different - LL being singing and dancing, AHCFs being anime Tokusatsu magical girls - they're both very fun and exciting to watch, with the shows evolving as the girls improve themselves and their friendships.

After a fateful encounter, the main character gets attracted to the world of music and now is totally obsess with their world's gimmicks (band girls/idols). Main difference between those 2 shows is bang dream is focused on bands of girls (normal bands, not idol groups.. except pastel*palettes), first season being focused only on Poppin'Party, while Love Live! Nijigasaki is focused on solo idols. Both animes are adaptations from their respective "rhythmic" mobile games Also both of them have a Kasumi, i think that's a very important detail

They both have people dancing and singing on the stage. Very good watch.

Both series deal with a group of idols that perform music trying to pursue their dreams. Unlike other idols anime, these series focus more on the single characters and their development, rather than on the groups. The main characters (Yuu/Producer) are similar: both are supportive and helpful people and even if they are not part of the performing group, they always help the girls and try to cheer them up when they are down.

Both series focuses on music and protecting their club/school. If Tari-Tari protects their school, then Nijigasaki protects their club from being disbanded.

If you liked this show for the fact it's essentially an anime musical and need more, then you will certainly enjoy the other. Though Revue Starlight has higher stakes in its drama both are structured incredibly similar, having an overarching story with a dedicated episode to each one of its characters that climaxes with a musical number. If you need another character driven anime with a sizable cast and great music performances albeit different genres (theatrical with a bit of action vs various styles of pop and slice of life), then this is definitely worth checking out.

Both series have really nice music and they focus more on the characters rather than strong plot. In the good way. Love Live and D4DJ focus on showing what group of friends can do together and also it highlights wholsome character backstories.

musical slice of life that follows the members of a school club and their daily life rehearsing and making music
