While not its own genre, these compositions tend to have a recognisable feel to them.

At some point, I'd have been super hyped for any show with a Vocaloid producer but come late 2010s they've been popping up everywhere :')

*List is roughly sorted by anime based on Vocaloid songs > Male utaites > Female utaites > Producers

Anime of which the main characters are an all-female idol group, and is at least somewhat realistic to the actual idol scene.
I will not be adding anime with traps as a member of the idol group, even if he looks very female, or any idol anime with too heavy of a fantasy theme. (ex. Zombieland Saga for both of these) Nor will I be adding second seasons or specials, as you can find them linked on the anime page.

Some of these shows focus on wholesome yuri romance while others are just girls being gay.

Some of these anime have low scores which may cause people to not watch them but they all are really good and can even become some of your favourite anime

This stack compiles all the idol anime that starts off with the one of the main girls seeing the performance of one or more famous (or not famous, varies by series) idols and wanting to become an idol themselves. For simplicity (and because of unfamiliarity with the male idol genre), this stack will be only female idols.

I am unsure what this stack will provide some people, I just thought this kind of setup happens often.
