Noragami has similarities to Dororo in that they both feature main characters who are samurai-like who are killing demons (or spirits in the case of Noragami). They both have a main protagonist who is accompanied with a younger side-kick like character. The main difference between the two is the time periods (Noragami takes place in the modern era) and that the main protagonists have different personalities. Still, there are enough similarities that you would likely like the other if you like one.

"Noragami" and "Blood Blockade Battlefront" / "Kekkai Sensen" are two supernatural action series by Studio Bones focusing on individuals with special abilities battling against creatures from another world.  

These two shows contain high-impact fight sequences in an alternate modern urban setting. Also, the protagonist of both shows is a formerly normal person who suddenly gets dragged into the situation, though each respectively has a different reason as to why they continue to cooperate.

Both madoka magica and noragami uses super-natrual occurrences to explain why corrupt and malicious outcomes occur in people's daily lives; such as demons, spiteful spirits, and corruptions of the soul in the hearts of people in a modern society

Shakugan no Shana addpermalink

Both have supernatural creatures and another invisible "world" that cannot be seen by normal humans. Both have normal people forgetting the presence of people that were affected by the "other world." Both MCs have long "katana like" swords. The flame hazes can be the gods of Noragami. Both have a girl that doesn't fight but gets involved with the "other world." Both have antagonists that have many "pawns/weapons."

Flame Haze are basically Gods of Noragami. Both anime have two MC's. One who is a God/FH, and one who is a human. Both God/FH have a katana that is the spirit of a human, that they use to hunt demons, aka Ayakashi/Denizens. Yato gets into fights with other Gods they the same as Shana does with other Flame Haze. Both human MC's run into the God/FH and acquire a power that allows them see and interact with these other worldly spirits, and get caught up in the middle of the fights. 

Main difference between the two, is Noragami has terrible pacing, vague character development, plotholes, very little action, poor soundtrack, and horrendous out of place slapstick repetitive comedy. Where as Shakugan no Shana is actually good, has an incredibly fulfilling story, great characters that have purpose, great music, action, romance, suspense, and great twists that lead to a very thrilling conclusion.  read more

Human-supernatural border clash. Shakugan no Shana and Noragami, both focus on the stories of Yuuji and Hiyori as they become entangled with the affairs of Shana and Yato respectively.

Though Noragami presents itself as a story of which involve the odd adventures of Yato's group it does look deep into its characters and their motives. With Shakugan no Shana, it is more of the journey of Yuuji with Shana as he explores the world of the Flame Hazes and fragile relationships with the human world.

There's a similar vibe and atmosphere about these anime. Both are set in a city where mysterious and supernatural things happen with a cast of colorful, out of the ordinary characters. Even the openings feel alike.

In my opinion these two are sort of under rated/unknown series (especially FnM) compared to the mainstream ones and end up not getting enough attention, even tho they both deserve more! 
They are different from eachother but yet have some strong common points:
- supernatural genre is a very important theme to both, although Noragami tends to have more action while FnM gets to be more dramatic
- creatures like gods, ayakashi, youkai, spirits and whatsover are daily routine for both stories (Noragami is specially mainly setted on gods)
- both main characters have to deal with exorcisms, particoularly FnM, but while the usual term "exorcism" is treated like our classic understanding of it in Noragami (as in: exorcise a bad spirit); in FnM instead the exorcism is nothing of the sort, it's actually a good thing for a spirit being exorcised as it can get him "home", therefor we get to see the point of view of spirits, ayakashi and such which is not that common for series that involve exorcisms. We can say that in FnM the word exorcism shows us a whole brand new idea for it.
- both stories evolve around a job (granting wishes in Noragami and requests of exorcism in FnM), a -supernatural- job, of course.
- like in many series with the supernatural genre, both are about a special world that coexist with ours but that not everyone has the ability to see it or its extraordinary creatures
- they are both a breath of fresh air

So my two cents are: if you liked one of these you might easily enjoy the other too!

Both MC's fight to protect the grounds from demons that appear during the night.

Both stories involve 2 Main male characters and 1 female MC, who build stronger relationships as the storyline unfolds.

Both series deal with spirits and youkai and the exorcism of them before they in danger the human race.

Both series have great balance of Comedy, Action, Adventure, Supernatural, and Fantasy elements.

"Just like Mushishi but with more action!" That's what I thought after a few episodes.
Both anime are dealing with a beings from a different world that blends with our reality and affects people.
The main character gets rid of a beings called Phantoms that cause problems to people the same way as Mushi do and Ginko takes care of them in Mushishi.

The first and most similar thing that both anime share is the close bond and friendship the "masters" have with their "servants" in Noragami's case, the bond the Gods have with their Regalia/Shinki and in Servamp the bond the Eve's have with their Servamps.
Also Servamps can have subs(lesser vampires created by and working for them) and they treat these lesser vampires like their own family, which is another similarity to how some Gods treat their Shinki in Noragami.

Another similarity is that lesser Vampires are created by the Servamps using dead/dying humans, giving them another chance at life similar to how the Regalia/Shinki are souls of dead humans who are given another chance at life by the Gods in Noragami.

For an Eve to form a contract with a Servamp they must give them a name and an item, in Noragami when a God wants to use a soul as their Regalia/Shinki they also have to name them.

Shinki/Regalia take on various alternate forms ranging from weapons, armour, shields, household items, accesories, jewlery, clothes, animals etc. While Servamps have alternate forms too, they are all animals/living things.

A God must have his/her Regalia/Shinki near to be able to fight, while an Eve  relies on their Servamp too, they can however battle on their own as well.

Cool Battle scenes that will have you at the edge of your seat.

Overall Noragami has way more comedy(Servamp does have it's short moments of comedy though, i'd say Aragoto is more serious in tone and on par with Servamp in that regard) while the battles in Noragami are pretty much bloodless the battles in Servamp however can be very bloody.

Overall if you liked one you might like the other one as well since they share some very important aspects! read more

Very similar animes.
-Both about the main guy character has a very dark past, who is known for very cold and heartless. 
-Both about main guy meets a girl who changes him and he starts to become a better person
-Both main girl character are very similar
-Both main girl character finds out about the truth of the world, like how some people has special abilities and cleanse monsters / people who sinned
-Both involve action and very sad
-Both very good anime that will give you the same feelings

Both are supernatural and both have a romantic  relationship development. Both shows try to answer what makes someone human and both shows have strong character development.

Satsuriku no Tenshi has more blood and violence though Noragami has some sensitive scenes too.

The economy in Noragami and DanMachi (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomearu no Wa Machigatteriu Darou Ka) is quite similar in that the Gods from both shows have "teams" or "familias" in which people pray to and fight for them.

Both are about Ayakashi (supernatural monsters)
Both have link to traditional Japanese culture (gods, tales etc.)
Both have underlying metaphors/themes for real life problems/situations

Mononoke has unique/rare art style
Noragami focussed more on combat/comedy
Mononoke focussed more on mystery/horror

If you liked the dark & mysterious Ayakashi in Noragami, and you like horror stories, Mononoke will be a fun ride. (For some art style may need some getting used to)

If you liked the dark & creepy Ayakashi in Mononoke, and you like action/comedy stories, Noragami will be an enjoyable ride. (Animation & audio are high quality with great music used throughout)

-Hiyori turned into half-spirit while Sankarea's main female character turned into a zombie. 
-Hiyori grew a tail while Rea's eyes turn red.
-Both have a supernatural and romance genre.
-Main male characters are almost the same.
-Both animes have 12 episodes.

Similarities:

- Kings in K, Gods in Noragami
- Clansmen in K, Regalias in Noragami
- Kings fight each other in K, Gods fight each other in Noragami.

Both have a comedic atmosphere most of the time but at any given point, everything escalates from 0 to 100 plot wise.

These two anime don't really have similar art or styles, however the main concept is pretty similar.  They both have a god-solving-problems thing going on; and both gods have problematic pasts.  Furthermore they're both assisted by a human assistant, girls with whom they end up developing a relationship which is more overt in Noragami.  While Loki Ragnarok focuses on Norse mythology Noragami plays into Shinto folklore, and gods roam around the human world in both of them.

So if you're into exploring the relationship between gods, and enjoy a good dash of folklore in your anime, then enjoy!

While they consist of different form of storytelling, Noragami and Jigoku Shoujo carries a distinctive way of dealing with tasks/grudges. The main protagonist contrasts in personalities but always tries to get the job done in their way.

As their genre implies, both series has supernatural elements that are considered abnormal in the world of the living. Among these supernatural elements involves spirits, apparitions, and otherworldly phenomenons. Various themes are explored throughout both series including anger, regret, jealousy, hatred, identity, and bullying.

Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) has a much more serious atmosphere while Noragami adapts a more lighthearted tone. They are both also well known for their exquisite OST. read more

Tokyo Ravens and Noragami come with the package of dealing with spiritual beings with magic/abilities. The main male protagonist often comes in contact with these beings in their perspective worlds.

Both series' main male protagonist has a past that is explored throughout their stories. Through them, certain plot elements are unraveled that ties together with its themes. 

Both series also takes place in a school life setting.. Tokyo Ravens has more romance while Noragami presents excellent comedy with its humorous dialogues and character interactions.

The two MCs in Trickster have a very strong resemblance to Yato and Yukine in Noragami.  So if you enjoy that relationship dynamic, you'll enjoy watching these two together.

The plots are relatively similar as well: the MC carrying out a series of tasks, and the other begrudgingly tagging along for different reasons.

Zombie-Loan addpermalink

noragami and zombie loan are pretty similar. When I was watching noragami it reminded me of zombie loan a lot. 

similarities:
-they get jobs were they have to slay things 
-they get paid after the job
-both are comedy
-have a bit of romance in it
-they have a girl who meets them accidently

differences:
-zombie loan is a bit more gory
-noragami is focused on gods and goddess of japan
-zombie loan has to do with zombies

overall both of the  series are enjoyable and and I highly recomend them.
