During the Summer Solstice arc, Sakuya talks about certain felonies that had been committed, rattling down Article numbers and Paragraphs in the background. Aria the Animation
TV, 2005, 13 eps Me:- Author:-
The lush visual beauty of the ARIA Anime adaptation is attributed to the animators actually having gone to Venice to do research on the architecture, how Gondoliers pilot their boats and how water moves in reaction to a gondola's oar. Yes, they put that much love into producing the series. Every building featured is drawn as accurate as possible and the geography is also highly accurate. The location Orange Planet is fictional, though, and ARIA Company is actually in where a Traghetto station would be.

• Transplant surgery is not as "free" as everyone seems to assume from watching the series.

• Both Kabuto and Danzo have a blood type of AB; thus, they are "universal recipients", able to accept any transplant in their bodies without rejection.

• Kakashi and Obito both have a blood type of O. This is why Kakashi's body didn't reject Obito's Sharingan.

• Madara also has the O blood type. This blood type is known as the "universal donor"; implants with O blood type will not be rejected by others. That's why he was able to implant his Rinnegan to Nagato (blood type A) and why he was able to implant on himself and use Obito's left eye. It's also why Obito was able to implant Madara's Rinnegan.

• Kishimoto draws large breasts rather realistically. Most series would have the breasts drawn plump and upright even without a bra, but here they're drawn more like what they would be in real life without support: less round and more baggy.

Most of the cultural details show an uncommon attention to detail with respect to their real world counterparts. The Kouga clan as the Mongols don't merely ride horses and live on wide plains, but serve horse milk, wear a similar clothing style, and live in accurately depicted yurt style tents. The detail goes right down to the distinctive lattice skeleton inside.

• The amount of work it takes for Alibaba and Aladdin to get Morgiana to believe in her own freedom again actually shows the deeper psychological implications of a childhood of slavery.

• Another chapter goes into economic theory in surprising detail. The manga's also pretty astute about the political complications of overthrowing a ruler, even if he is a tyrant. The overall level of socio-economic thought put into the story is quite remarkable for a shonen manga.

The series often incorporates aspects of real-life animals into the biology of the monster girls, some of them pretty obscure.

• Miia's horrible cooking and Cerea's bland dishes are both justified by real-world biology. Omnivores (like humans) have over twenty times as many taste buds as carnivores (like snakes)—of course Miia's cooking tastes fine to her. On the other hand, because herbivores, like Cerea, generally have twice as many taste buds as omnivores, omnivores just can't appreciate her vegetarian cuisine.

• Spiders do get drunk on caffeine.

Wakasa Rumi appears to blind in her right eye (Burning Tent Case). Rum was described as possessing an artificial eye on one side of their face. But if Wakasa Rumi is Rum and has an artificial eye in her right eye (out of which she cannot see), then how is it that eye looks normal, she can cry out of that eye (Burning Tent Case), and she can move that eye in sync with her seeing one? Well, it is actually quite possible and would be a case where Gosho Aoyama has Shown Their Work.

Healthline.com tells us that a prosthetic eye can move in sync with the seeing eye and you can cry out of it, due to the fact that the muscles and tear ducts are not inside the eyeball itself. If you search for prosthetic eye online, they can look quite realistic. So this is actually quite consistent with Wakasa having a prosthetic eye. The only issue would be that the pupil in the prosthetic eye would not change size in response to light, but her wearing glasses would help conceal that, especially if she has a highly reflective right lens (which she seems to have).

Now, if she has a realistic prosthetic eye and she is Rum, then how is it that whoever she talked to in the past knew she had a glass eye? Well, before becoming an assistant teacher, she wore one that was more obvious. Then when she knew she needed to go undercover as a teacher, she had a more realistic one implanted so she could be a Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.

Of the 3 suspects, Wakasa, Kuroda, and Wakita, Wakasa is the one most likely to wear a prosthetic, because Kuroda wears a darkened lens over his blind eye to conceal it, and Wakita wears a patch over his. This would be unnecessary if they had prosthetic eyes.

Yukimura has often noted the pains he took to be as accurate as possible, such as the journey he took to Iceland at the beginning of his work on the story, and how he used a variety of historical and apocryphal stories to base his characters on. The weapons, armor, and outfits are accurate. You won't find vikings in horned hats duking it out with knights in plate armor here.

While there is a fair amount of Mundane Training going around, a number of the fighting techniques and tactics depicted are accurate. Thorfinn's method of withstanding 100 punches from a man much larger than him, for example, is a legitimate technique seen in boxing and various martial arts that boxers call "rolling with the punch", which involves turning your head in the same direction that your opponent's punch is traveling. If done correctly (and it's risky because it requires excellent timing) this will dissipate most of the force of the blow and turn it into a glancing blow instead of connecting flush.

When Akeno orders the Harekaze to accelerate and maintain a speed slightly above its cruising speed of 17.8 knots, she acknowledges the engineering crew's remarks that risk of an explosion increases from the increased steam pressure the engines must output to sustain the speeds she's requesting.
During its engagement with the I-201, the Harekaze's depth charges do not sink the submarine and instead, forces it to surface. Depending on the depth charge and submarine, depth charges must explode in close proximity to the hull in order to rupture it, but the shockwaves generated can nonetheless disable critical components and require the submarine to surface.
In episode nine, the girls initially believe an incoming vessel to the the Musashi, but catch on when they spot its turrets as having two barrels rather than the three seen on Musashi because of the distinct tower-bridge on theHiei, which was designed as a prototype for the Yamato-class.

Lycoris Recoil
TV, 2022, 13 eps Me:- Author:-
• Episode 1 shows Chisato taking the retention stance when it comes to shooting a pistol, which is where the shooter tucks in their shooting arm into their body. This is to prevent a close range attacker from grabbing your gun, easily smacking the arm out of the way, or using the arm for leverage in some manner. This is necessary because Chisato's non-lethal bullets are inaccurate, requiring her to shoot her targets at essentially melee range. Everyone else doesn't adopt this stance, and Chisato takes advantage of this in Episode 3.

• Episode 2 shows a Lexus LFA in a parking lot, which Chisato considers a "super car".note
In the same episode, one of the hitmen after Walnut pulls the pin on a grenade before Chisato knocks it out of his hands. The timer on it doesn't start until she does this. The pin is not what starts the timer on a grenade - it holds a handle in place that starts the fuse once said handle comes off.

• Episode 4 starts with Chisato and Takina at a firing range, using rubber bullets. As would be the case in real life, they are horribly inaccurate. Chisato overcomes this by using her dodging skills to get into point-blank range of her targets, eliminating the accuracy issue. Once Takina switches back to her regular pistol rounds, she's back to near-perfect accuracy with her handgun.

• Episode 6 shows that rubber bullets, while intended to be non-lethal, are still capable of inflicting grievous harm on a person if they hit the right spot. Majima takes a rubber round to the forehead from Chisato and is left bleeding afterwards.

• In the same episode, one of Majima's terrorists uses a Panzerfaust-3, which the JSDF is known to have access to.

• The DA's use of KRISS Vector submachine guns may come across as Rule of Cool considering that they're notoriously failure-prone, but there's one very practical reason for using them: they're compatible with Glock magazines, the same kind of magazines that the Lycoris school bags are custom-made to carry.

• In Episode 11, Chisato enters the Skytree armed with a Keltec KSG shotgun, a weapon fully capable of loading non-lethal cartridges.

Digimon Adventure

Digimon: Digital Monsters

Digimon Adventure
TV, 1999, 54 eps Me:- Author:-
• One of the reasons Digimon Tamers stands out from the other Digimon anime series is the sheer quantity of references to real-world computing developments. Examples include ECHELON (one of the SIGINT systems that control information flow on the internet), the Tierra project (an artificial life simulation experiment), and the early Creeper virus (which infected ArpaNet). Its plot neatly grounds itself in reality with the sole exception of the two instances of Minovsky Physics it created (and their consequences). It also features cloud computing, icewalls (instead of the more well known firewall) and a quantum computer in addition to some philosophical concepts like an entelecheia (a catalyst for evolution) and the relativity of good and evil (the importance of the point of view, which leads to a lot of Well-Intentioned Extremist). But what really makes this example stand out is that the writer, Chiaki Konaka (who also wrote the aforementioned Serial Experiments Lain; seriously, this is a guy who knows what he's talking about), set up a Tamers minisite devoted to explaining in great detail the research and thought processes which went into most facets of Tamers.

• The broader Digimon canon as a whole actually does an excellent job of showing its work when it comes to basing its Mons on many real mythological entities, literary works, religious concepts or even specific lifeforms. Sure, Rule of Cool is in play first and foremost, but they do like to pick pretty obscure stuff to portray and usually do a great job of accuracy in deriving aspects for it; sometimes they even play with multiple Digimon based on different interpretations and views of the same subject (there are plenty of Digimon based on Satan, for instance, exploring different portrayals of him from over the years). Now keep in mind, we're talking thousands of Digimon species, so that's a hell of a lot of work. Of course, though it's rare that much of the details come to pass as relevant in the anime, manga or games themselves, the Japanese supplementary material simply loves to show off how much work they have to show.
Hellsing
TV, 2001, 13 eps Me:- Author:-
The author and other creators of Hellsing managed to depict Protestantism, Catholicism, western cultures, vampire mythology, military structure, and accents (Scottish, Italian, British, etc.) far more accurately than 99% of other anime/manga series with eastern roots. It's one of the few animes that averts Anime Catholicism, instead planting the series solidly into the category of Fantastic Catholicism, which is quite common in Hollywood and much more palatable to western audiences. A great deal of conflict is shown between the Protestant Hellsing and the Catholic Iscariot Organizations, including the territorial disputes over Northern Ireland and the hierarchical structure, administration, and international prominence of both religious branches. Even the slang and insults are fairly accurate to the time period, religions, and nationality of the characters. References are often made to the hostility between two or more specific groups, and women are consistently portrayed in powerful or politically influential roles that don't make them subservient to the men around them. For the latter, the countries in which this power-holding occurs is not outside the norm, either.

• Driving School episode 1 begins with Rose running right up Abbey's butt, with similarly accurate jumpy reactions from the latter.

• Driving School episode 3 has Shiromo's driver pulling out the Mol-Lettuce with the Molcars behaving like they were in a real-life guinea pig herd.

• In Driving School Episode 4, Potato chews on the cable connecting to the simulator, mistaking it for a carrot. This is in line with real-life guinea pigs, where if left in an area with cables, they chew on them.

Kenpuu Denki Berserk
TV, 1997, 25 eps Me:- Author:-
Strategy and Tactics: The tactics used by Griffith during the Siege of Doldrey are pretty much word-for-word concepts mentioned in Sun Tzu’s The Art of War (Sun Tzu).

• One specific example is when Griffith burns his own ships, when having part of his army stand their ground against the opposing military. Sun Tzu mentions burning ships in his book, as a way to bolster a soldier’s fighting ability. If they had no option to retreat, the only option left was to fight for their lives. Conversely, since the attacking forces felt they could retreat back into the castle if the fighting got too hard, then they would be less committed to slaying every enemy.
Another example immediately follows, where at the end of the battle, Griffith loudly announces “all fleeing enemies would be spared,” is also a Sun Tzu tactic; and meant more for his own men’s sake. This is meant to have the exact opposite effect of burning the ships. Once he announced the option, a portion of the opposing forces would simply flee, reducing the number of enemy soldiers still trying to fight. Those remaining soldiers can then be either scared into fleeing or killed by now superior numbers.

• Griffith's plan to eliminate the Queen of Midland and her allies is a fairly accurate depiction of a "tiger kidnapping", in which a person is coerced into committing a crime under the threat of their kidnapped family member being killed. Griffith has Minister Foss' daughter kidnapped, and uses the ransom to make Foss burn down the Queen's fort. After the deed is done, Foss' daughter is safely returned to him, which is usually what happens at the end.

Indeed, one of the theories on how birds achieved powered flight is that their winged theropod ancestors started flapping to right themselves when they fell, and developed shorter tails to make their bodies lighter.

• While not entirely geographically or temporally accurate, almost all of the Jurassic and Cretaceous dinosaurs featured in the film are at least discovered in Asia, with the exception of Spinosaurus (and even then, it could be justified by Spinosaurus being able to swim).
Stegosaurs, sauropods and ceratopsians have the correct foot shapes, rather than elephant-like feet as in usual portrayals.
Spinosaurus is depicted as semi-aquatic, with short legs and a dip in the sail. It would have been the most accurate depiction of the animal in films, if it weren't for the fact its tail became obsolete sometime after the film's completion.

• Hadrosaurs are depicted as quadrupeds (although the juveniles are depicted as bipedal, which is based on an outdated hypothesis).
Oviraptor is shown brooding its eggs, based on the holotype specimen that was sitting on its own nest of eggs (and mistaken for an egg thief, hence how Oviraptor got its name).
Tuojiangosaurus is depicted with a third pair of spikes at the end of the tail much like its relative Chungkingosaurus, since the thagomizer of Tuojiangosaurus itself is unknown.note This is based on Gregory Paul's interpretation that Chungkingosaurus is a juvenile form of Tuojiangosaurus. However, this should be taken with a grain of salt, given Paul's history of unorthodox dinosaur classification (which led to the confusion between Velociraptor and Deinonychus that Jurassic Park perpetrated).

• Tarchia is depicted with a low, rounded body with osteoderms set into thick skin, lacking the bony shell seen in stereotypical depictions of ankylosaurs.

• Tapejara is correctly shown with a more subdued crest on its snout, rather than the Tupandactylus-like crest seen in obsolete reconstructions.

• While the gigantic pterosaur is a fictional genus, it is correctly depicted as having pycnofibres, walking quadrupedally, hunting on the ground like an azhdarchid, and taking off by vaulting with its wings. Also, the tracks it leaves behind are based on real-life fossils of pterosaur tracks.

• To this day, it is a popular, but outdated belief that the Mesozoic Era ended 65 million years ago. This film instead shows it ending 66 million years ago according to modern theory. Doraemon's description of the K-Pg Extinction Event is also horrifyingly accurate, with the meteor impact not only sending a blast radius obliterating everything in its path but afterwards kicking up thick clouds of dust that would block the whole Earth from sunlight, causing global cooling and a worldwide destruction of the food chain that would last for millennia.
The opening has a demonstration of evolution as not Evolutionary Levels leading to a specific goal, but rather a series of offshoots from the same animal. This is represented by a ray of light that goes through a transitional form and splits into branches to show the different lineages that came from that animal, with one branch repeating this process with the next transitional form (in this case, leading to the dinosaur lineage).

• What causes the gang to realize they're in the Jurassic Period is that they encounter stegosaurs alongside allosaurs (in this case, Tuojiangosaurus alongside Yangchuanosaurus), both groups that were prominent during the Jurassic, but died out before the end of the Cretaceous.

• Grass or grass-like plants are shown in the scenes set in Late Cretaceous Asia. Grass first evolved in Asia during the Late Cretaceous, but are yet to spread elsewhere. By contrast, the scenery in the Jurassic show a lack of grass or flowering plants, which are yet to evolve at the time, instead showing moss and ferns covering the ground.

• During their brief stint in the Jurassic Period, the gang witnesses a realistic confrontation between carnivore and herbivore, and the necessity of hunting in groups or pairs. In a one-on-one battle, the Tuojiangosaurus quickly overpowers the Yangchuanosaurus with its defenses, but if the Yangchuanosaurus is paired with another one, the Tuojiangosaurus itself gets quickly overwhelmed and taken down. Likewise, one of the Yangchuanosaurus purposely causes the herd to stampede while the other hides in ambush for a straggler, exactly how cooperative hunting works in nature.

• The ants seen carrying off leaves and a beetle in episode 4 are leafcutter ants, not native to Mesopotamia at all, but to Central America. This offers a hint to the coming of "Jaguarman" to those with sharp eyes.

• The game that the kids in Uruk are playing in episode 5 is a real ancient Mesopotamian board game, called the Royal Game of Ur.

• Conqueror of Shamballa is a fairly accurate portrayal of the political climate in 1920s Germany. Although there were some obvious deviations from the actual history, they were clearly intentional. The Munich scenes were based on photos taken from the city itself. Also, the firearms used in the same scenes are models that were more or less available in 1923.

• The World War I scenes towards the end of the series are likewise based on the fact that Zeppelins did bomb London at the time. In fact, Ed's "Earth-death" is based on a historical account of one of the airships crashing in the city.
