I have found that trying to get people into anime who have never seen it before are very turned off by the "weeb and otaku" culture that we all know and love. (These people obviously aren't cultured like you and me.) In this stack you will find anime that I would show a non anime fan to get them into anime.

My first anime. I was instantly hooked on it from the first episode. Interesting, Mystery and detective stuff to keep you on edge. Good for beginners because it doesn't shove Japanese culture down your throat right away and has a very western feel.

Where do I even begin? Everyone should watch this at some point in their life. Great for beginners and veterans alike, it is full of action, mystery, and plot twists to keep you engaged without the aspect of otaku culture that is a turn off for some people. Also has a very western feel. Absolute masterpiece.
