This is the anime exists in the same universe as this list as bug die to it being exactly the mind of garbage it warms you NOT to watch.

It's full of overused tropes and stereotypes but I guess you can filter out the garbage if you put up through the 10 skits worth throughout the show.

It's painful to even write about it.

Here's your order of 5min nonsensically useless Greek culture sprinkled with stopmotion.

A wholesome parody with educational themes, such as bookselling, publishing market and reading habits of specific subcultures.

You DEFINITELY gotta watch this one with the English dub. It's purposefully offensive, it sunk so low the only way to bring it back to life as a rentable anime was to completely shred any speckle of dignity out of it.

IT WAS NOT INTENDED TO BE ANIMATED AS A REGULAR ANIME. They're purposefully static panels, either as low budget or artistic style. Get over it.

The quality of everything pretty much tends to drop after a few seasons. Well, this one doesn't. Still feels (and is) fresh.

Probably the least surrealist one, despite being the most fantasy-oriented story here. Characters are sometimes self-aware, and there's certainly a lot of trope parodies. But then there's this - at some point the show appeals to the same characteristics that it aimed to poke fun of.

You WILL feel off. Everything feels off. Was it purposefully aimed to feel off? I was completely clueless at first, so the show graciously succeeded in its own dubious tension-fueled atmosphere that makes you wonder - is this UNCOMFORTABLE or is this FUNNY?... Ohhhh wait lol 👍

In the most serious scenario (not spoiler-ish) two characters ask for the help of another, which has a beaver-shaped face, and shamelessly throws a set of absurd rules in order to help. You get the visibly distressed main character's face zoomed in as his dignity is at stake. He's about to deny. Next frame you get him as a henchman with a beaver-shaped face and the voice of a squirrel. Some scenes just make you react like that [insert reaction here]

You'll get the most of the series in the first five minutes. Like many in this list, if you're not into it, you'll get bored right away. Which I deem impossible since you came here to read all that lol

Anything beyond the second season it's just recycled jokes and gradually decays in its creative fashion. Season two, tho, is still more than fresh.

Do you hate yourself that much? You don't have to do this to yourself. Did I throw this shit here out of pity and shame? Maybe. It's soul-wrenching; it's not even funny. Someone just had to do the dirty work of adding this title to at least one comedy stack. It takes pity and shame for one to be noble.

Each episode, a new different studio. Even more than one different studio. Some are not even entirely Japanese. It's so fast-paced you won't even have enough time to understand some subtle references/gags.

The whathefuckery shall continue, except now even MORE self-mocking.

What keeps this one on another level is that it's not as slapstick banter comedy like Asobi Asobase, Nichijou, Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou or Azumanga Daioh. Even if the protagonist is as over the top as possible, the gags in this one tend to poke fun out of traditional school culture.

Feels pretty close to Sakamoto Desu Ga.

Just an absolute goldmine that encapsulates 2010's overall aura. Gag parody, nonsense, lotsa tropes, but also slapstick. Yes, expect a lot of people yelling.
