It's hard to tell if this is the greatest satire ever, or a poorly done comedy show. I think it succeeds on both equally, forming a great b-anime. Shitty voice acting, inane plot, and terrible art/animation are just a few of the things that plague this anime. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it thoroughly though.

The characters were so perfectly cliche that they actually managed to be good. Charlie Secto and Nick Jagger are some of the best characters I've ever seen. I'm surprised this doesn't have the #1 best selling soundtrack ever, the music is that great, especially the opening and ending songs. Even with the terrible engrish, and the terrible timing and placement of the songs, it still manages to amaze me. While the story is pretty stupid overall, how can you not enjoy robots that do wrestling moves? The animation is terrible because it's so obvious a few times that it's just a 2-3 frame looping for a few seconds. At one point there's even some redheaded kid that runs past in the background a few times that's hard to miss. It does poke some fun at other mecha shows such as Gunbuster, but it's tastefully done and shouldn't piss anyone off.

This was obviously directed by a mad genius, because there is no way that a normal person could make something this bad and still make it entertaining. If you're a fan of mecha anime or b-movies, you should definitely check this out.

Let me finish this off with a line from the ending song that perfectly encapsulates the feel of the anime: "Yes, yes you are the wind of lime green."
