Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (3/26 eps)
Coming from a person that has no idea what, "Little Busters!" is, I felt the need to write a review since the majority of people watching this are also new to the series. When I first heard of the show it seemed like some glorified anime that should be put on a pedestal. Unfortunately, it is not.

To start off, the story seems awkward. A group of students decide to create a baseball team because it's their leader's last year before graduating? Original yes, but it seems bland and pointless. However, I have heard and read some discussion that the plot thickens and gets extremely emotion but until then, it gets a 4.

Next, the art. I want to say that it's amazing and really nice to look at but I can't. It looks the same as anime from a few years back so it's nothing unique or amazing when compared to some other anime. However, budget must be taken into account when it comes to this so I'll be flexible here. Art gets a 7.

Sound plays a crucial part in anime and for "Little Busters!" the sound is good. It's not horribly bad but at the same time, not amazingly good. It's neutral. The OP is catchy and the ED is pretty generic in my book but it's a good formula so I can see why they stuck with it. Overall, sound gets a 7.

Now comes character. In most animes characters play an important part. In Little Busters, it feels as if the characters are blobs and nothing more. There's a generic muscle head, samurai, impulsive leader, shy girl, moeblob, etc. We've all seen them before. The main character, Naoe, who's voice I cannot stand is pretty much a sissy that's diagnosed with Narcolepsy. We find out that his parents died and he becomes isolated which is a nice back story since he's the only character that actually gets one. In the end, characters could be better but for now, it gets a 6.

Lastly, it all boils down to enjoyment and whether one actually has fun when watching the anime. I will give this a good score because even if there's no real story, or amazing art, or enchanting sounds, or great character development. As long as I enjoy the anime, I'll continue watching, and "Little Busters" does just that. It's fun to watch since they have a good sense of comedy and the characters are all likable. So this gets a 8 here.

Overall, "Little Busters" seems to foreshadow a deeper plot that we have not seen yet as they are mostly just introducing the characters to us right now so until we get further into the show, it gets a 5/10 for now.
