I honestly was just skimming through the internet when I came across one of the covers for "Rockin' Heaven". Seeing how impressive the artwork was on the cover I decided to just give it a short read. In the beginning I had no real intentions of absorbing myself in the book but I honestly just kept reading till I finished the series.

There are a lot of good things that come along with this book. It holds a lot of character development, gives space for other character's to share their stories instead of focusing on the main couple, and the artwork is just phenomenal.

However . . . I believe the main characters had some complications. The main girl, Sawa is just a bit too perky. She does cry often but she seems a little too optimistic. Of course she's very similar to the typical manga heroine who is perfect in every way but there was a point in the book when I thought she was TOO perfect. Sawa is a complete Mary-Sue but there were definitely times in the book where I kinda forgot about her good nature and focused more on the other characters.

Next is Ran, the main guy. The guy definitely has some problems and I feel like he wasn't crazy enough. I mean, he suppose to be suicidal and depressing but it appears like he's simply content. Not saying he doesn't show signs of how uncomfortable he is but I felt I would get more emotions from him. I will say that his character was better than most guys I've seen in other mangas.

Finally . . . I really feel like some loops weren't closed in this manga. There were some issues that I kept thinking about till the end of the books. For example like: Why did this person end up with this person? What happened to this character's feelings for this one? What happened to that one guy? Why didn't he express that he loved her?

Basically, I feel as if some of the situations didn't find closure in the story line. Being very observant, I kept thinking about each character but in the end it was all done I suppose.

Even with the confusion on my part, I ended up loving the side characters more than the main ones! C:
