This show has a lot that's good about it, a lot that's not and a helping of things that are downright disturbing. Overall I don't regret watching it but it also left me discontent. The show explores some pretty serious themes and essentially brushes them all off to conclude in a rather abrupt and flippant manner. Some of those themes include genocide, suicide, political corruption, terrorism, etc. These themes are often depicted in graphic, even nauseating detail. Seems like a waste to build this heavy narrative then Rick and Morty it at the very end. I don't know if I've been so disappointed by an ending since I read Gantz(oddly, a pretty on the nose comparison, now that I think about it). But I digress. There are things to like about the show too. For the time it explores most of those themes it's typically well done. All the slice of life stuff kinda drags but it makes a stark contrast to the, say, GENOCIDE occurring on a daily basis, which is probably part of the point. Had the ending not completely missed the mark it could have been an 8/10 at least. It's difficult for me to recommend. If violent content is disturbing to you, I'd skip this one regardless. It's pretty brutal with surprising frequency. The story itself becomes somewhat compelling after a certain point. I guess that's all I really have to say about it.
