Dual Rulers is a rushed, underutilized shoe horn plot for something Daisuke clearly wanted to do, but didn't have the budget, time, or episodic plan to properly dish it out. Half of this anime wastes time explaining lore to new comers with stills that we have no time for. The other half is a terribly written antagonist, who's "daughter" is revealed to be part of a certain family tree. Which is the only purpose of the whole anime as it itself is terribly written and uninteresting. Even the fan service of this new character and another character is hinted at and doesn't take it anywhere all for Bridget to be injured suddenly in the dumbest way imaginable all as a written plot to have Unika have this massive comeback vengeance.
Half of it is a waste of time, and the other half is no budget, terribly written and rushed garbage. Unless you are a super fan of Guilty Gear lore check it out, and you will still be disappointed. If you aren't a super fan of Guilty Gear or are interested in Guilty Gear lore don't watch this. Go watch videos on lore, play the games do literally anything else with your time. The only upside to this is that episode three was actually decent an promising for what was to come, then it just nose dives, some fight scenes are at the least decent and enjoyable.
Heres a summary to not waste your time. Unika wants to destroy all gears because of a manipulative "father" figure. Finds out shes part of the Kiske family, falls for Bridget romantically, and ultimately defeats a giant kraken which is a "to surpass gears" kraken Nerville IS.
Dizzy and Ky finally marry, Unika takes her place in the family as Sins sister, talks about wanting to meet more people and Bridget smiling flashes on the screen the end. You are caught up. Thats it.
