This is the best anime I've ever seen. Everything the textbook says about good writing: setup and payoff, show don't tell, character development, world building, depth, stakes, this anime has it all. It doesn't give you all the answers about the consequences of the time travel in the story right away, but rather let's you piece it all together and arrive at your own conclusions as the story progresses and things are revealed.

And if you are wary of how the show presents itself through the posters and art (or god forbid, the fan made content), don't worry, this is a serious story without nonsense. It's a Chinese seinen, and you will see some Chinese specific culture in it. There is a Japanese dub if you'd like to watch it that way though (but the names are all over the place).

What else is there to say, go watch it. Just watch it. I know you hear this a lot, but just... ignore everything else and watch it.
It's incredibly good.
