Over the course of the past 2 seasons, Subaru basically had to win by trial and error. Sacrificing his life, whether he wanted or not, over and over again to arrive at the result with the least casualties, saving as many people as possible. And through this, we got all kinds of analogies and allegories (and straight spelling it out by Satella) about how precious life is and how you shouldn't throw it away it and all that. Good stuff.
But now? Well, now all of that is apparently not needed anymore, Subaru and company get it right first try. With a few fakeouts along the way. That's right, even though they are fighting MULTIPLE very dangerous archbishops at once, they get it right first try. With a small twist at the end which is basically a repeat of something that happened before.
But wait, there's more! They've cucked Subaru as well. The other guy physically glues his heart to Emilia's heart (through magic). And that's not even all: Emilia clearly states that she actually does not love anyone currently and hopes that one day she will find love.
WHAT??? Excuse me but, didn't they kiss last season? Wasn't Emilia blushing when talking about having babies with Subaru, never saying no to the idea, or showing disgust or any other negative emotion or reaction, on the contrary, saying that she is ready to take her new role of mother seriously?
What... the... hell?
And the worst part of it all? They didn't even play "Call of the witch" during any of those 3 deaths.
Terrible.
