At the end of the day, this is a romance anime which there are plenty of, whilst this anime does stand out by it's titular character Alya, it's not enough to save it. In particular the character of Suou Yuki (initially thought to be the MC's childhood friend but is later revealed to be his sister) is quite frankly the most unbearable character in this show. Her sexual remarks about her brother are not funny in the slightest.
Alya's character isn't much better either, her whole character is just that she can speak Russian, other than that it's nothing that hasn't been seen before in romance anime, she's just a blank, uninspired tsundere who is bilingual.
The show would be rated a lot higher if Suou Yuki's character was toned down drastically and given something else to do other than stand around and make uncomfortable and weird remarks about her brother. The anime has nothing special to offer, even if the Russian gimmick attracts people it's not enough to get people to stick around.
