I am SO happy I went into this without knowing if they were actual zombies or if it was just the aesthetic of their group. This is truly a one of a kind show in such an oversaturated genre! It's stinkin hilarious as well as having some legitimate tearjerkers near the end of the series. The 3D dance segments aren't great, as is often the case with idol shows (besides iM@S). But the main appeal comes from the character interactions off the stage, so it really didn't bug me all that much.
Also WHO the fruit was casting this show!? Because I wanna know how someone had the audacity to ask the legendary Kotono Mitsuishi, aka SAILOR STINKIN MOON to be in a stinkin IDOL show only to have her character exclusively talk in grunts and groans and not speak or sing a single word!?!?!? AND SHE SAID YES!?!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!? It just gets funnier the more I think about it. But with all that said, despite how unbelievably hilarious that is... WATCH THE DUB! Holy cow, I can't stress that enough! If you don't watch the dub, you are a fool! Because you'll be robbing yourself of one of the most hilariously unhinged vocal performances in all of anime. And that is the legendary Ricco Fajardo as the REAL star of the show, Producer Kotaro! You just need to hear it to believe it. Seriously. Watch the whole show, if only for him alone.
HOWEVER..... I'm sad to say that Season 2 isn't nearly as good as Season 1... The comedic bits aren't nearly as funny or plentiful, and the dramatic bits aren't nearly as engaging or interesting. It does have a good ending though, which is something I can't say about Season 1, funnily enough. Regardless, I am LOCKED IN to this series and am actively looking forward to every future installment!
