Despite some questionable camera angles and unconventional music choices, this anime stands out as a beautifully crafted piece with stunning, watercolor-like backgrounds. The plot may be sparse, but it delves deeply into personal character struggles and growth, presenting the grim realities that most isekai shows tend to gloss over.
While others might distract with light-hearted comedy or simply ignore the harsh truths, this anime confronts the brutal reality of taking a life. It vividly depicts the fear, hesitation, and disgust of fighting for survival, capturing the emotional turmoil of knowing your opponent is as desperate to live as you are. This stark portrayal sets the tone right from the beginning.
Reflecting on it I honestly wish they focused more on the world building aspect ( like how stuffs like magic work , why they came there , how the world functions ) but it is fine in and of itself , it was an amazing and emotional experience nonetheless .
they should have ramped up on the fan service though
