I read it several years ago after receiving the two books as a present, and I can assure you: it was the best series I've ever read, considering how short it was.
The characters and panels were beautifully created and portrayed throughout the novels, and though they were over-emotive at times, I love every minute of it.
Sure, this type of manga isn't right for everyone, but I definitely wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.
