You know the meme of “confused screaming?” Yeah, that’s me during the entire reading session of this manga. Like your everyday incest manga, your moral compass for the day will be broken from each chapter, possibly stacking for the rest of the week. I like to separate incest mangas into two categories: the incest subjects are perverted and are totally trying to bone each other, or the siblings that make jokes and try to be lighthearted. For better or worse, this manga takes the former route, and it f*cking swerves into that route. No matter how off-putting this manga was or should be at times with the characters, I couldn’t stop myself from clicking the devil’s tainted “Next Chapter” button.
To start off with, the plot is somehow addicting. You can’t help but want to realize the finished product in the plot line, no matter how nonsensical it is. However, where I sort of “drew a threshold” were the characters’ realism. At first, I thought the characters were somewhat realistic, minus the incest, but as the chapters go, the author forces characters to like or dislike with weird reasoning or explanations. In other words, the characters are not grounded in the manga and often go against their ideology.
This manga definitely appeals to people with a screw loose or kink; as the author best says himself, “Manga is the best because it doesn’t have to be realistic, and you could write about illegal things,” or something like that. If you have the slightest intolerance of incest in stories, your best option might to be erasing your memory of this manga’s existence since you might throw up; however, if you have that one screw loose or don’t care either way, it’s somewhat addicting.
