Wow, I guess I'm the minority here. Since Berserk is considerd a classic by many, and is a high ranked anime.
I mean there is so many things wrong with this series. The animation is mediocre, especially the inbetweening lacks, and makes the visual choppy.
And the pause-still frames is poorly edited, and has inconsistent quality.
And come on, whats the deal with the sword? It changes sizes all the time, they really had proportions issues. And the character animation is a bit generic. The fight scenes dont live up to the genre.
The music I actually like, but it dosnt fit the medieval theme at all.
The stroy.....hmm. there is a lot to say about it, but in general it just dosnt fit thogether. and the ending leaves you hanging. It never really ties back to episode 1. (and dont tell me to read the manga, If you have to read the manga to watch the anime, whats the point?)
The Characters is good, especially the main character Guts, he's like a Conan-Kenshiro hybrid, and he goes berserk, really cool.
But in even with all these negative thing, I kind of enjoyed it for 24 episodes.
