Ao Ashi (Anime) add (All reviews)
Jun 11, 2022
Preliminary (10/24 eps)
Imma keep this review as short as possible mainly because I'm lazy.

Now I believe that the manga is really amazing. I mean sure it drags on for too long at times having a whole ass 2 volumes based on a single match pretty much.

I believe that the source material for this anime was better as this anime clearly does not have a huge budget the, animation is pretty average and the voice acting is really annoying, especially with Hana and Aoi. I recognize that Aoi is really energetic and is meant to be voiced as he is but its something that I personally dont like.

The story is adapted really well and not much is left out although, I recommend you begin reading the manga as it is in my opinion the most underrated sports manga out there and doesn't receive enough attention. It has 296 chapters at the time of this review (only 292 are translated as there is only 1 team that does it and they are on hiatus)

If you've read Blue Lock and are expecting something similar with Ao Ashi, don't, as Ao Ashi is much more realistic than Blue Lock apart from the fact that Aoi's vision superhuman- the story really gets into the football side of things even teaching the viewer things about the sport that they didn't really know.

Overall pretty good show that I recommend you get into.
(forgot to mention the opening and ending tracks are both bangers)
