As a recap, it can only do so much. Veldora’s Journal 2 follows its predecessor with Veldora and Ifrit chatting between themselves about the events of the first part of the second season along with some bits from the first season. Though, it was less of a recap of the previous shows and more of a comedic interaction between the dragon and spirit.

The animation was mostly reused with a new scene of Raphael, Ifrit and Veldora; nothing too special here but serves as a decent recap to viewers. The sound was mostly just conversation between Ifrit and Veldora with a few cuts from scenes of the second season.

You aren’t missing much if you skip on this, it’s enjoyable but fans can easily ignore this as it only provides the thoughts and reactions of the duo to previous events. Nevertheless, it serves as a decent bit of entertainment to get back into the fantastic story after the quarter-year long break between the two parts of the second season.
