The story is fucking amazing and unique, even if it came out today I would still be like damn this is something new and interesting. The story is about a guy named Usui who finds out the school president's secret (Misaki Ayuzawa), that she is a maid, but promises not to tell anyone. It's not your typical romance ecchi trash it's a serious story about high school love which is also kinda like a reverse harem in a sense because half of the boys are in love with Misaki but only a couple of people actually become rivals for a max of a couple of episodes.
Only because it's old doesn't mean it has bad art in my opinion this art style fits it more than the modern art style and I've got no complains here.
Every opening/ending or just anything from the OST is a banger. I don't know who was in charge of the music but he did a great fucking job.
Usui and Misaki are probably one of my favorite characters in general not just in the anime. Let's start with Misaki, sometimes she is a tsundere other times she is a bitch or extremely likeable even for the tsundere haters and she also looks really cute in the maid outfit. Now Usui is probably the best character in the entire show for the girls he is #1 Husbando for boys he is a CHAD the way he interacts with people and especially with Misaki really reminds me of another really cool character (Sakuta from Bunny Girl Senpai) but better the way he acts and the fact that he is literally in creative mode, he is so chad that he could probably beat your typical overpowered isekai protagonist with black hair even thou this is a romance and not a trashy superpower fantasy or whatever.
I had a very very entertaining ride watching this show, it's what you'd expect from a amazing show like this a good begging, characters, story and a FANTASTIC ending which everything I hoped to see. The only problem I had was that there were I think 2 episodes which were pure filler and after it they continue where they left of, so it's not a problem unless you hate to skip episodes like me and you are also sleepy and want to go to bed and the episode is very boring, this was my biggest challenge but if you have a good sleep schedule and don't watch anime at night like a stupid idiot like me you'll be fine they are only two fillers one in the middle and on in the end
Overall a very good romance which to this day is rivaled by very little shows (don't take my word as a fact, it's just an opinion). It does what most recent anime fail to do BE ORIGINAL and not just copy a show and except successes like most new isekai. After watching quite a bit anime the only concept that comes close is Rent a Girlfriend but Rent a Girlfriend is no where near as good as Maid-Sama even thou I gave them both a 9/10. Really I can talk till the suns goes down about this anime but the sun is already down and I'll leave it at that.
