Restaurant to Another World is a delightfully charming—yet slightly repetitious—little anime. The main story is composed of many vignettes, two per episode, with reccuring characters and some recurring plot threads. It is largely a slice of life anime. There's no real conflict, it's just endearing characters eating good food. And on this level, it's satisfying. The characters are developed enough, none of them having any real depth, but they're still entertaining to watch.

The animation occasionally left something to be desired. It has its good moments, but it's mostly just serviceable. Movement is sometimes stilted, expressions look a little goofy sometimes, and any attempt at action usually does not end well. But the character designs are pleasing to look at, particularly the main girls Aletta and Kuro, they're quite cute. And the arguable main character, the food itself, is obviously given the most attention. It will probably make you hungry!

As mentioned before, Restaurant to Another World can get pretty repetitious. You will undoubtedly catch on to the formula quite quickly. There's only so many times you can watch a speculative new customer enter the restaurant and spout monologues about how good the food is. Nevertheless, it's an entertaining anime and I enjoyed my time.
