Simply put: I loved this story.

Blue Flag was definitely a manga that will stay with me, I was emotionally invested from the very first chapter. The art, the characters, everything was so pleasing to look at and read.

What I think Kaito does really well is build up character development, they all seem very real and complex and because of this, I found myself caring for them very early on.

*SPOILER FOR ENDING*

I would have to agree that the time-skip ending could've been better if there was some sort of build-up to it, HOWEVER contrary to a lot of peoples opinions I really enjoyed it, personally, it was what made the manga for me, looking back at the whole theme of "choosing what makes you happy", it made sense for that to be Taichi's "final choice". It just made sense to me, as Taichi never officially rejected Toma's confession, and he acted a bit off ever since as if realising what he actually felt for Toma after all those years.

"From someone else's point of view, my decisions might also seem..."- a quote from Taichi when describing a movie he watched where he didn't like the character's choice. This really stood out to me, and how from a lot of people's POV taichi's choice did not make sense to his character, personally I think it does.
