If you are wondering whether to watch the show, give the first few episodes a try, because it's pretty much the same after that.
Kaichou wa maid sama, to me, is something that you either love or hate. It's not a revolutionary anime, but it does a lot of things differently while also still containing a lot of tropes.
Personally, it's one of my favorite anime ever. I love all of the characters and there's plenty of character development even though their personalities don't change much. There's no underlying plot or villain but I think the show does it right.
If you mildly enjoy the first few episodes, then you'll love the rest because it gets better, but if you find yourself bored or annoyed, you'll probably feel that way for the rest of the show.
If you read the bad reviews and think that it might not be worth it, you should still definitely give it a try!
