Look I gave it a fair shoot from reading some other reviews how ever the ideals of the character are challenged a few times through out the anime however she was not pushed to a major breaking point. This lack of a breaking point made the protagonist feel lacking in any growth which had been occurring but very slightly.
Then the ending felt convenient for the anime.The ending makes sense in the way the story is setup but this still felt boring say compared to the ending of code geass.
Where I feel if the protagonist had this breaking point before the ending had occurred it would of made the story a lot better in my opinion.
