To top off a disappointing year, I ended up watching a disappointing hentai which coincidentally was set on New Year’s Eve. Now there isn’t anything necessarily wrong with Jewelry, however for my time there are other examples of vanilla hentai that are able to deliver everything and more of what Jewelry attempted to convey. Among those are hentai I’ve reviewed such as Aibeya and Aikagi the Animation which provide stellar character development and emotion packed into a single episode.
Story : 5
As I said, this isn’t a bad hentai however there are just way better hentai which fit into the same bin as this hentai. Jewelry tells the story of a couple spending their night on New Year’s Eve by fucking to stay awake, all in all just your typical hentai plot however the pacing made the hentai feel an hour long special where most of the time nothing really happens and you don’t really understand anything deeper about the characters in their interactions so not only does the hentai not adhere to the “show not tell” but it just doesn’t tell us anything either leaving me feeling like I had 17 minutes deleted from my day so while it was inoffensive it virtually left no impression on me.
Art and Animation : 6
Putting it up against its peers, Jewelry’s art and animation quality match up to its story in being extremely mediocre. Once again, nothing feels so bad about how the hentai looks and moves, certainly I’ve seen much worse such as the terror of TSF Monogatari’s vaginas and the absolutely terrible motion blurred boobs of Master Piece however Jewelry just felt forgettable.
Wholesomeness: 8
However mediocre it was, Jewelry was still wholesome as hell with heartfelt expressions of love and talking about starting a family so as far as I’m concerned Jewelry is wholesome as hell, a bona fide vanilla hentai in every sense of the term. If you’re looking for wholesome then this is fine but I would certainly recommend you check out other vanilla hentai I’ve reviewed.

I wish I could say whether I had a good or bad time with Jewelry however I legitimately felt nothing during my viewing of Jewelry, honestly just wondering when it would finish. Personally, the most amusing thing about this hentai is the profile picture of the creator and that he has provided work for Love Live. My final verdict on this hentai is that you shouldn’t waste your time on it as watching an overtly bad hentai would be preferable to watching this hentai.
