When i started watching it, i was hoping for more of dark exorcist kind of anime. A much darker and eerie reincarnation of the son of satan , born and raised humble followers of God. But this hope was soon shattered in episode 2....
First of all, before you start thinking about exorcism and stuff, you should instead begin with looking at fairy tail. You see, the idea of church style exorcism here of more of a paganism... The so called "charms" around the church, the summoning of angelic protector in which the blood of the summoner must be spilled changed the entire tone... the so called church is no more than a black magic cult
the entire church itself seems to be protected by pagan magic entirely instead of the giant crucifix.. Its basically yet another random shounen incarnation with church in the background and having absolutely nothing to do with church itself...
While i prematurely dropped it, i can almost see how this goes.
1. It follows with him killing the "last boss"
or
2. A "twist"
I seriously doubt that the creator will be able to pull something original out of this series considering his total lack of ability to even set up the mainframe of the story
Any seniors should not worry to much in hoping for a breath of fresh air out of this but shounen lover might find something they like...
