Tons of heart and tons of fun. The art is incredibly detailed, fresh and vibrant. The characters themselves aren't terribly deep -- look somewhere else if you're looking for philosophical themes and or rich character development. But they serve what they are meant to do pretty damn well. I had a huge smile on my face watching all of their antics go down.
This show relies heavily on exposition vs explanation. While the story itself is cliché, predictable and overall generic, it is told in such an endearing manner; it is entertaining, funny, heartwarming and even a little sad at some points.
I wish this show had more of a fanbase.
