All the positive reviews definitely decided me to give this Isekai a try -I am still trying to reconcile people's enthusiasm with my own experience of the show.
My first impression was that the world itself is extremly bland. The city looks boring, the "houses" fail to capture medieval atmosphere and are just generic, the inside similarly lacks inspiration and feels unrealistic. In other words, the world cruelly lacks depth and details.
The show also fails to maintain a coherent universe and narrative, at different levels. Nothing really makes sense, and I'm not talking about being picky: contradictions and inconsistencies just jump at the viewer.
From the 20ish girl that ends up in a kid's body and then just acts like one but still keeps some of her old self when it's deemed useful, to reactions that always feel wrong, and even the main character's motivation feels really off.
And then there's the story and what we actually get to see: uninteresting, repetitive, and making so little sense that we end up having to pretend that the MC indeed reverted back to a 6yo, who ends up being, on top of the rest, annoying.
I did like the few pieces of harpsichord music though.
