I really enjoyed watching this anime, but at the same time, I felt that there was something missing in my life -- the Ao Haru. Where did you go, my friend? I really miss you (although I've never had it in my life).

Story
The story was well constructed. The first two episodes were like a prologue, and the main story starts from ep 3. I feel that this way of starting an anime is really good since it tells me sufficient knowledge that I would need for the later episodes. Also, since the anime flow back and forth between Character's past and present, it allowed me to engage with the characters a lot.

Art
The use of art in this anime was very well done. By drawing the past scenes (scenes when in junior high schools: Yr 7-9) with a touch of watercolour makes it very good (sorry my vocab so bad. Can't find the right word to describe this, but it's really good. Elevates the story into another level).

Sound
Love the OP, BGM I think suited the scenes.

Character
Character development is one of the best things that was shown in this anime. Especially the main character Futaba's character development through flashback allowed me to engage with (or sympathise with) her a lot.

Overall
Very sweet love romance/slice of life anime. Need coffee when your watching. I recommend this anime if you like these sweet SEISHUN anime, that reminds you of the time when you are in high school (or reminds you that you were missing something very significant in life).
