This is just my personal opinion and I respect the opinions that all other viewers have for this show! :)

This is a cumulative review based overall on the three parts so far.

I don't write many reviews on MAL for the simple reason that I don't believe in them myself :)

Some of my fave anime have poor reviews and I am sure if you are actually an anime lover who watches different genre you would not be relying on popularity lists or reviews either. :)

I'm not going into too many details about the plot... You can look at the summary or other reviews for that. Mostly I will focus on the characters.

REVIEW STARTS!

I have only one gripe with this entire anime and it's story. If it were not for that one thing I believe I would have enjoyed this much much more.

The one thing that is holding me back from saying that this is an amazing anime is the main protagonist Izuku Midoriya.

There must have been many people who already mentioned this in their reviews: That he is a crybaby wimp, he has no growth, he is boring, he is cliche etc... I won't dwell on any of these points.

Yes the whining irritated me too but what really made me hate this character is his motive to become a hero: I want to be a hero like All-Might.

To me that killed everything about this protagonist. I liked his intelligent side, his calm rational way of fightin. In fact his application of his brain to a problem was the best thing I found in him. But in spite of all the villains around him, all the destruction and death of civilians..... Regardless of all that, his reason to become a hero is to be like All-Might.

If I were All-Might I would respect a person who wants to protect someone, help people or at the least want to have the strength to do something to change society.

Yes Midoriya saved Bakugou at the start and that was what All-Might saw too. I completely agree with that.

But Izuku himself never forgets to tell us every few episodes how this is the story of how he became the number one hero and that what he wants is to "be a hero like All-Might"

I hate how he's attaching more importance to the position rather than the meaning of a hero. I know that maybe this was not how it was meant to be interpreted but this is one reason why I can't bring myself to like the hero.

Hopefully the future arcs would change my opinion!

Now to the POSITIVE!!

Bakugou & Todoroki are two characters I love! Yes cliched but I still enjoy their scenes and the VOICE ACTING IS INCREDIBLE!! What Nobuhiko Okamoto is doing to produce Bakugou's voice is a very impressive feat! I like all the other supporting characters too in the class! They all have interesting personalities! Aizawa is one of my favorite teacher characters ever!! All-Might himself is a really powerful figure who I respect because he is more than a hero. He's a really good guy and I love his interactions with the other characters!!

Shigaraki Tomura is probably one of my personal fave among the villians for a simple dialogue he said:

"It was to rescue my companions. I had no choice. "

I won't mention where he said it. It's in season one. But if you noticed it, that's good! It got me thinking... When a hero saves a friend it is applauded.... When a villain does the same, it is 'what is he doing?!' 'Ugh! I wish he would just die!'... Same action, different reactions from people....

I love the background score of the anime and the opening songs! Peace Sign is a personal fave!

As a conclusion:

If you love superheroes, the whole underdog becomes the best and saves the world, lots of action or you just want to watch something without a complicated plot, then this is a fun show!

For me bnha is just another anime I have watched. It is definitely not something I would claim to be THE ONE or the BEST in my life so far, but I certainly enjoyed the three seasons so far and would definitely be watching the fourth!! 😄
