That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a show I know had a lot of hype surrounding it. I definitely want to say I didn't hate the first chunk of the show. It was yet another isekai to add to the list in quite an over saturated market for these types of shows. I was worried I'd hate it but I actually found it very pleasant and enjoyable. But suddenly by like episode 12 or 13 I fell off the bandwagon and felt kind of bored. It became a very generic fantasy anime that really didn't do anything new or exciting. I felt as thought the characters went from fun and enjoyable to suddenly over powered or just paper thin dull. The show just kind of fell into the meh pile for me. I felt like I wanted more and something unique but I just kind of felt underwhelmed by how average and indifferent I felt. I watched some of the show dubbed but not all of it because the dub was pretty bad and the translation was really cringe. I could tell that wasn't the original story dialogue and was bad localization. I didn't let that affect my score. It's definitely a show I preferred subbed. Anyways, when there is an isekai a minute I feel exhausted from shows like this. That does add a bit of a bias to my rating probably but I definitely have been invested in some really awesome isekai anime that have really made the concept a lot of fun. This show just feels more of the same. It has the MMORPG feeling and interface the character uses and it's in a generic fantasy landscape. It's nice to see how a slime can build and rule a town and how it accomplishes so much, but this show loses it's flavor and became less and less interesting as the show continued for me. If this show does interest you I definitely say to check it out regardless of how I feel since we all have different interests and taste. It seems a lot of people enjoy this show. For me I'm glad I watched it but I'm not compelled to read the light novel or continue to follow this series unless it pulls something truly amazing that gets the community buzzing.
