Very derivative of every single one of his other movies the only thing I was really surprised at was that there was no scene showing a separation via Train. This film demonstrates his strength as a director thoroughly but his writing not so much. I would love to see a film directed by him but written by someone better. I love the way he creates his worlds and applies them to the screen but his trope extravaganza leaves much to be desired. Honestly just give me something new, not the same story template for 4 movies.

The Soundtrack is kind of a lamer tryhard version of the Your Name OST with little variation. There was also a larger reliance on CG which at times can be jarring and break the immersion.

Like I said, I feel tired of the repetition of his films and just wish there was something more that he just doesn't seem able to conjure. There was a distinct feeling of longing when I first watched 10 Cm, but by this film it seems to be welling dry.
