This is one of the greatest show I've watched. It's a timeless piece of art. The characters are relatable. I enjoyed watching it because of the unique antagonist (Light Yagami) perspective the show is presented. It took two or more heroes to take down the villain, that is something. L and Light are like the yin and yang.

In all of the episodes I kept rooting for the hero and at the same time sympathize with Light. His god complex was triggered by the shinigami's notebook & I couldn't blame him for that. This show wouldn't be great if it wasn't adapted into TV format to begin.

I didn't watch the Netflix live action version because I knew they couldn't capture the kind of emotional roller coaster ride I had with the original anime. I wish they would remaster the anime and do an HD or 4k ultra HD of it.
