Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (1/4 eps)
First of all, I AM A CHINESE living in China Hong Kong. I do studied The Three Kingdoms period for acadamic needs and self interest. Again as a Chinese, I'm quite strict on stories/animes based off The Three Kingdoms - and in this case, Ryofuko is not that good.

Story: 4/10
Being a fanservice anime, I didn't require story that is very rich or interesting. And though the first half of the story is decent to me (where it explained that how the manly man Ryofu turns into a loli girl), however, the storyline totally didn't made good use of the Three Kingdoms. Some characters with the same names are appeared but their personalities, settings etc. are totally not related to the originals, and the Three Kingdoms background didn't play an important role despite naming the characters.

Art: 6/10
The art is okay, you know as a fanservice anime art is important right? The main girls are pretty well drawn, fans of this genre would be pleased. Though the guys are comparetively poor (compared with other fanservice anime's minority guys). I do not like the show, but I Chinkyu is very appealing to me I have to admit. (and I'm not a loli con)

Sound: 6/10
Cute op and ed. And the ost is decent, fair enough for such a fanservice anime.

Characters: 5/10
Most female characters are cute, but then again their bonding with the Three Kingdoms are way too weak. The main selling point for a Three Kingdoms based anime is its Three Kingdom theme! Lacking those important bondages is simply no fun, no different from watching a below average lolicon fanservice anime. (And Ryofuko who is a magical girl didn't feel like Ryofu, and the famous Sou Sou even has a personality that TOTALLY opposed the original historical figure)

Enjoyment: 2/10
It is boring, no fun. So far below average - and mainly because of my strict attitude on its Three Kingdom theme so that I failed to focus on its cuteness.

Overall: 5/10 (I rated 4/10 in my profile, but 5/10 is much more decent for all)
If you'd like a fighting magical girl, I reccomand Dokuro-chan for you.
If you'd like a very cutre magical girl(with tons of fanservice), I reccomand Moe-tna.
It you'd like a Three Kingdom based fanservice anime, I highly reccomand Koihime Musou(which I love very much) for you, it has awesome characters, soundtrack and storylines.)

But not Ryofuko, this anime attempted many high aims(fighting scenes, Three Kingdoms, magical loli girl etc.) but none of them was achieved. Anyway if you just wanna take a break, kill time, this simple, brainless - but somehow quite cute(Just look that that Chinkyu, Cuute!), watch it then.
