Kyoto Animations have never failed to impress me from time to time, producing amazing works such as K-On! & A Silent Voice, Maid Dragon isn't an exception. This anime is packed with enjoyment and comedy, however it is still able to bring out some powerful emotions depending on how you look at the situation. Honestly, when I first saw the title I was thinking of something way different than the actual thing that got aired, which I suppose is a good thing since I didn't really want an actual sized dragon to be inside an apartment. (How does it even fit inside to begin in the first place)

It features many characters, all of them which have very distinct personalities that are attached to them. Kobayashi having that " Give me a break " personality really makes the whole maid thing work, since Tooru is loyal and caring to Kobayashi, helping out with many things such as household chores & food etc. This clears much of Kobayashi's stress and makes her feel happier. Kanna is that quiet character that doesn't talk much, but is freaking adorable. Due to her being "young", Kobayashi kind of serves as a mom character to her, getting all excited when Kobayashi is willing to watch her at the Sports Day really made me happy as well. Together the trio make a good family together.

Fafnir is that character that are really scary, unless you have a similar obsession as him. This is where Takiya's part comes in, as he is an otaku, Fafnir gets introduced and gets hooked in with him. This makes Fafnir have a slightly toned down personality and you can get to see who he is more on the inside compared to the surface.
The Quetzalcoatl and Shouta duo are kind of really there for the fan service. However, Shouta's background really interests me a lot. It makes me wonder if their world really has mages and magicians and that the dragons could potentially face some dangerous people in their world. It's just a thought of mine that probably wouldn't happen unless they are trying to end the show.

Something that I always look forward to when I watch things made by Kyoto Animations are the sounds and visuals. I'll be frank, it's pretty darn amazing, this is why I wish other studios also hire workers by salary pay, Kyoto Animations always focus on how nice something looks and not how fast they produce the work. Like the classic saying goes, Slow & Steady wins the race. I totally agree with that phrase right now, in terms of sounds and visuals, KyoAni definitely is as good as studios like CoMix Wave or Ghibli.

Overall, I highly recommend anybody that doesn't hate Slice of Life shows to watch this. It's incredibly well made & has tons of humor packed into the show. This is certainly not something you will find any day, take my word on that shall you?

Highly recommended
